Roasting Of Goodie!

[b][/b]Disclaimer: This is all in good fun. None of the remaining discussion is meant to be serious in anyway whatsoever. The individual I am roasting is subject to publicly bearing comedic insults, praise, outlandish true and untrue stories, racial stereotypes and heartwarming tributes. The implication being that the roosted is able to take the jokes in good faith and as not being serious criticism or insult, and therefore showing their good nature. It is seen as a great honor to be roasted, as the individual is surrounded by friends, fans, and well-wishers.
Goodie, what can I say about Goodie? I met Goodie now going on 4 months? Heck I have a hard time keeping up with how time. We made fast friends. I have learned so much about this special Aussie lady, and she has taught me immeasurable lessons, especially about men. These are just a few things I have learned of her infinite wisdom.
Men are like ... Laxatives ...They irritate the crap out of you.
Men are like ... Bananas ... The older they get, the less firm they are.
Men are like ... Vacations ... They never seem to be long enough.
Men are like ... Weather ... Nothing can be done to change them.
Men are like ... Blenders ... You need One, but you're not quite sure why.
Men are like ... Chocolate Bars ... Sweet, smooth, & they usually head right for your hips.
Men are like ... Coffee ... The best ones are rich, warm, & can keep you up all night long.
Men are like ... Commercials ... You can't believe a word they say.
Men are like ... Department Stores ... Their clothes are always 1/2 off.
Men are like ... Government Bonds ... They take soooooooo long to mature.
Men are like ... Mascara ... They usually run at the first sign of emotion.
Men are like ... Popcorn ... They satisfy you, but only for a little while.
Men are like ... Lava Lamps ... Fun to look at, but not very bright.
Men are like ... Parking Spots ... All the good ones are taken, the rest are handicapped
See what I mean?
Not to mention the stories she can weave, I have been in awe as of late reading her words of inspiration.
There are now 2 things I want to do. I have set as major goals. One is to visit Goodie in Australia, along with the Queensland Zoo. I want to sit beside that creek and chew the fat with this wonderful lady. Raise a glass of What ever we are sipping on to precious friendship.

There is no place on earth other than my on home country that I have ever wanted to live. There are a thousand and one places that I would like to see of course. The Taj Mahal, The Grand Canyon, Angel Falls so many. But if I really had to go, the one place that I would do so willingly and with no protest would be to live beside Goodie. You can call her Goodie. But "The Best" does equally well. She loves to store her other half's high quality antiques and curios; her consumption of caramel mudcake is legendary; a dab hand at shifting building rubble (a woman that helps with the DIY is worth her weight in gold), but most of all she is a true friend. My heart misses a beat when I think of her. The best thing is that she already has British neighbours. Room for another Goodie my friend?

Bravo Angel , well said! Isn't she a dote indeed, as they say in Ireland! I would love to join you guys as Goodie is indeed an amazing woman and an inspiration to many and to me in particular! I thank God that I found you guys as my life would have been much poorer without you all! Here is to Goodie, a rose amongst thorns, Bottoms Up!
By the way I had to open a bottle of red to toast with and it is only just after noon - I guess either I will waffle more rubbish than usual later or I will pass out! lol xxx

has to be, I copied and pasted mine from Pike ....lead by example and all of that,,,no problem Pye, the roasting and toasting might go on through tomorrow. We had an idea 2 weeks ago to make mylot aware of what friendships can be had here. There is no more a classic way than an old fashioned roast. BellaofChaos is the author of this insanity.

I can't believe I've just come across this now. There are some truly special friendships here on myLot, and I wouldn't have ever believed this, over a year ago. Goodie, you're a very special lady, and I'd so love to visit you 'in the land down under.' I love Aussie accents too! I'm proud to call you one of my dear friends here. My memorable moments with Goodie include, a very recent adventure involving 'chick flicks.' I'll never forget this one, and thanks so much for the laughs, Goodie. You're also a great friend to take to a 'dessert party,' even if I ended up passed out under the table for most of it. 
Keep on spreading all of the joy and laughter you provide here. xxx

I truly wish I could do this. On the other hand, I can always dream, can't I? I still wish that D, pye and I could visit together. I guess a quick trip on your private aircraft will have to suffice.

I was going to be distressed about my kind in human species but then I read the 'coffee' and 'parking lot' comments. There is still hope, I guess. I know I am being overly optimistic here! :-)
I wonder if those who acquired the good parking lots acknowledge it or they think they have been tricked by the wrong signs painted on the lots!
On a serious aside, I don't know much about this user, I have personally interacted with her only few times but I have found her a very sensible, honest and positive contributor here. Some of the discussion where I saw her, she was very funny and I enjoyed her comments.
I applaud you too, Angel, for your respect and acknowledgment of goodness of a good contributor here! :-)

I knew she was a good friend from the moment she called me Kat. Only those close to me call me that.
Its a mylot party and we're here to roast
An Aussie woman that answers my every post
Her name is Goodie, she's known to all
Her legendary wit makes men feel small.
Some nights we talk long and laugh
Usually about our other half
Her responses are usually tongue in cheek
And thats why its her friendship I seek.
She's always a welcome addition to my day
I can't imagine it being any other way
So in closing this poem I want to end
By simply saying, Goodie, I'm so glad you are my friend.
Its lame, but its honest. I love you Goodie~

Goodie, is a dear lady. Always there when you need a laugh or to vent or to just talk about happenings on the lot or otherwise.
Always with a keen sense of humor and something to say that I can steal and use all the way over here in the USA.
I also love talking food and Goodie is great at that too...That is if you can translate to American English. Those Aussies even type in slang, I tell you!! :)
But truly, thanks for being a pleasure here on the lot and I look forward to many more discussions to come!

Goodie got me upon first sight. No one with a Garfield avatar can be bad. Did you know Garfield was born on my birthday and my favorite food is lasagna? And I hate Mondays, but who doesn't, right?
Goodie is another one who has everybody fooled. I think underneath her sugary sweet exterior is a hellcat waiting to rip some unsuspecting fools head off.
If I continue with my molding I think she is going to turn into a force to be reckoned with.

Ain't no one in this world like our Goodie. She's loyal, true, funny, irreverent, sassy, saucy, sexy, amazing and has taught all of us something throughout our time of knowing her, certainly myself. I love this woman. I can't think of anything I wouldn't do for her if she needed it or she asked or someone asked for her.
Goodie is so very dear

Haven't known Goodie as long as the rest of you..but i'm beginning to love her as you all do..love how she calls me Kitty..wonder why?..LOL..As alot of Aussie friends i know and have met here, she's such a sweetie and truly one of those i know as a keeper..we need more like her!
