My boss is a big liar

I can not believe in any word of my boss, as there were so many situations in what he suppose to answer and he was the responsible person, but because it has not been written anywhere he just told "I did not tell this". But in our business not everything can be written on the paper or in the e-mail. A lot of things must be done in an immediate effect and only by phone or during discussion. However, the position of my boss makes it completely unmanageable, due to his reaction to any problems. Sometimes I just refuse to do some things, if there is no written confirmation. All this "writing" stuff puts our work relations in such a tension. I cant talk with him with turned on recorder, this is impossible. I do not know what to do with it?

Maybe talk to fellow co-workers and see if they have having the same problem and take action from there.

The problem is the same, they all experience the same . And telling that the best solution is ask a written confirmation to everything, however, he refuses to sign.

May be then, all the affected employees should approach a higher up to see if the boss can be bought to task.

I think you need to sort out the issues with your manager. You need to be clear that certain things are totally unacceptable, and should not happen the way they are currently happening. It might even lead to heated arguments, if your boss has some bad motives. Yet, he might understand his actions also, and rectify. Do you have a higher up in your Organization, who do you think would listen to you? If yes, and if your boss does not respond well to you in the meeting, or worse, refuses to have a meeting with you, you may talk to the higher up. Be prepared for some unpleasantness, but it shall help in the longer run.
