My daughter has a maths question she can't figure out & neither can I.
There is a problem that needs to be solved with Equations & Transpositions. I will write the actual problem here & if anyone can solve it, we would be very grateful.
"A factory plans to make 48 items per day to meet a target. However, for all except the last three days they made 50 per day, and only had 100 items to make over the last three days.
How many items were they supposed to make?
How many days were involved in the plan?"

Let number of days = x
Then,
The total number of items = 50(x-3)+100 ------------1
And the Planned number of items per day = 48
So,the total number of items = 48x ------------2
From 1 and 2;
50(x-3)+100=48x
=x=25 is the total number of days
and total number of items = 48 * 25 = 1200
Thats it.

No. of days in a month = 30 days
4 Sundays excluding = 30 - 4 = 26 days
48 items are made in one day
No. of items in 26 - 3 days = 23 x 50 = 1150 items
No. of items in the last 3 days = 100
total items made = 1250 items
No. of days = 26 days
