Do you PLAN your discussions or verbalize them randomly and reflexively?

This sure is an unplanned one - and as well have some of mine prior to this been. An idea just struck my mind a minute back and I responded to it instantly by starting this thread. Having an idea or a thought is fundamental to starting a discussion and it can occur at any waking second of your life. When such a thought/idea which could be translated into a discussion flashes your mind, what do you normally do about it? Will you discard it hoping you might run the same thought again at a later optimum time? OR Will you make a brief (obscure) note of it and wait till you acquire that 'right' frame of mind to write? OR Will you immediately give words to them, regardless of your state of mind? OR Are you a genius who can acclimatize to the ambiance of writing at any given time, at will? OR Are you an I-will-do-it-tomorrow person?

If I am at the computer and an idea comes along, the idea will be recorded. I will then work on it when the time is right - when I am in the right frame of mind to craft a discussion. At times, the idea come at wrong time - when I am not at the computer. It comes, stay excited in the mind for minutes, then gone forever if I forgotten to note it.

Yup, correct, if you fail to note it down, it is almost always gone forever. I have had it happen to me a lot of times, yet I haven't learned. LOL.

Hiya Lakota! I was inactive in posting, but did log in almost every other day. Now, I hope to post more as I'm feeling interested lately. Yup, nearly every subject is covered by someone already. You can still re-formulate many in an own unique way, stuffing your personal experiences, views etc - and present it once more. Good luck!

Sometimes an idea for a discussion will cross my mind while I'm working, sometimes while I'm doing other stuff at the puter, just depends on what I'm doing or what happens..mylot will come to mind and when I get here is when I'll put my thoughts in a discussion. I was responding to another discussion and started talking about something else and then said "This could be the start of a new discussion" and now finding more info on the subject b4 I start it. I never have actually planned a discussion thou. Just stuff that crosses my mind is all.

Hello there, I_LUV_U. This is a nice discussion and as for me, normally I would go by ideas in a whim. I follow my instincts and it could be something or an idea that I came out with while working or riding even. But there are times when the ideas seem a bit funny to me and I don't go around making those discussions. At times, my head would be overloaded with ideas that I just tend to scribble down on a paper and then I discard them. LOL. I just go by my instincts most of the time. Have a fun day posting. ;)

I honestly don't know. I have only started a couple of discussions here. I want to start more, but I just don't know what topics to write about. I am going to have to get started writing more discussions soon. At least I am able to comment on a lot of topics though.

It's better to get started writing on general day-to-day issues like e.g. "What do you do when you are stuck in a traffic jam?" Or "How punctual are you at work?". Just my suggestions, do whatever you enjoy, no hard and fast rules.

i am not that kind genious one in making some discussion in mylot. but something sure that i just write discussion in here when i get topic flashing in my mind which means i don't force myself to search what kind discussion that i should submit in mylot. and i am happy that so far, i generate good responses for my discussion which is beyond my expectation, dear

If I get a thought or idea that pops into my mind, I am usually at the computer so I will just plug it into the site right away. I find if I don't then I forget about it and may or may not remember it in the future. I have lost some really good discussions that way, I know they were good but I just can't remember them.

I do think about how I will put my discussion. I want to reach as many people as possible and exclude no-one if I can. I want it easy to understand and easy to respond to. I've seen some posts lately that could only be given a few words in response and they get dozens of responses...I tried that too...I didn't get more than 30 or 40. Most posts I see bore me and I just can't think of a response so I try to avoid those but I guess it's impossible.

I usually think of topics when I'm away from my computer. If I don't forget the subject I'l post as soon as I possible can. However, I must admit some of my most responsive posts have been spontanious.

Whenever any idea regarding any discussion comes into my mind, and if I am off-line, I make a note of it in my diary. I may not be able to recall the idea at a later date, so I prefer to note it down somewhere, and thereafter, whenever I get the opportunity to go on-line, I start the dicussion. I feel that whenever I start a discussion, it should be of interest to others, so that they could contribute their idead and thoughts on this.

Sometimes, I do find it difficult starting my own discussion. But when I get to start with one, ideas come in like surging waters. When such a thought/idea which could be translated into a discussion flashes your mind, what do you normally do about it? When I am away from my computer and I do have a paper to write on and a pen, I would take down such thoughts/ideas. I just take down keywords and NOT the whole idea. Once I get seated and work on my daily myLot activities, I look at the keywords and start working on them. However, I have noticed that for some reasons, the discussions I start randomly are the ones that get more responses. That is why, more often than not, I just do start discussions when I get to have random thoughts and not those that I prepare for.

When I go online I try to utilise the best of it. So it's always wise to have a plan before hand to save money and time. So, I keep notes on phone memory and whenever I go online I just write it down properly. This saves me a lot of time. Sometimes I wish that my quality would have been better had there been more access to internet. Hope you got me right.

I'm afraid I didn't! How could the quality be better if you had more access to Internet? You can still do your "homework" as fine, without Internet. And, I like your idea of preparing offline to best utilize your online time.:-)

i'm either of these 2, i make a brief note of it and wait till you acquire that right frame of mind to write and i immediately give words to them, regardless of your state of mind lol it just depends on my mood most of the time

If the computer is on and on MyLot and an idea comes to me, I will do it there and then. Mostly I have a great idea just as I turn the computer of and decide to do it tomorrow by which time I've forgotten what the question was.

I do not start discussions unless I have time to think them through. I might make a note and flesh it out a little, before starting a discussion, if something comes to my mind. I am needing to start a few. I only start four or five at a time, generally.
@I_LUV_U (2519)

I think you can space those four or five by sending out one each day. 4 or 5...umm...more likely your responses get divided b/w them as users may not prefer to respond to all of yours feeling pressurised.

If I think that others would likeit I immediately give word to it and sometimes backtrack and make my sentences more meaningful and more grammatically correct because if I wait as I often Have it completly disappears and is gone forever. Some times I wait until I have it better formulated in my mind but do not wait too long as I have a quick forgettery if there is such a word, and there ought to be for us mylotters.

Mostly of my post are unplanned. I just type right away and post it. Once my mind is in the mood then i will not wait until tomorrow just to post it..I am not that good in grammar. As you can see lot of errors especially i am so fast in writing and lazy to check it. I check it but not that often.. I used only my brother's PC so my time is also limited...
