Do you like watching movies about Mafia?

I've seen some of them. I really like the Sopranos. I hope they make a movie with those characters.

a big YES! one of the first pocketbooks i ever got to read was "the Godfather" by Mario Puzo..then i learned that there was a movie made from it, i wanted so much to see it. but that didn't happen til much, much later. I was already in college, i think, when i got to watch the movie. of course, there've been the trilogy already. it was also from there that i began admiring Al Pacino. I didn't get to watch Donnie Brasco, but I read the book before the movie was made known to be showing in our area. I also wanted to see that because aside from AL Pacino acting in it, my other favorite actor, Johnie Depp, was also there. I've also seen Unforgettables, with Eliot Ness (Kevin Costner) as main character. Goodfellas I first got to see in our film review class. From there I began associating Robert DeNiro, JOe Pesci to mob movies. What attracts me to these movies is the way the mobsters show themselves as clean, prim and proper, gentlemen, poised in their coat and tie, trenchcoat and all and yet they have this unforgiving character. I also like the idea of brotherhood, and having an hierarchy in the organization.

I watch the Sopranos. All the character are interesting. I always wake up late just to see the Sopranos at HBO asia

I also like the Godfather movies. Did you ever see "A Bronx Tale" with Robert DeNiro, if you haven't rent it, I think you will enjoy it.

i ulike watching mafia movies once in a while..if i watch too many ..i get bored.so i watch it occasionaly

i don't just like any mob movie. i didn't like goodfellas even though it was highly acclaimed. it was too raw for me. but i really liked the godfather trilogy, scarface, and casino. money, power, charisma as you said, and good music as well. like in the godfather.

Not really. I have tried watching The Godfather series. I fell asleep everytime. LOL

Yeah I usally like watching mafia movies. My favorite mafia movie of all time is goodfellas. I love the characters in it. I also love the music and what made it so great was the comedy. I loved how it spanded for more then 30 years showed him as a kid then went to an adult. I find it to be the greatest mobster movie of all time. along with the godfather.

Well you missed The Untouchables. Classic movie, probably my favourite one.

i used to watch HBO's the sopranos...but when they stopped the show i havent watched any mafia themed movie or shows....

Yeah i like mafia movies too with the like of The Last Don and Donnie Brasco. I've watched those two movies and they are somehow very interesting and inspiring. And of course i like the power, money, charisma, and respect elements in the story too. And i can remember one line of phrase said by Don Clericuzzio in the Last Don movie "It's ok to make a mistake as long as it is not a fatal mistake" something like that. lol Mafia movies are somehow very interesting in most of the aspects especially the mystery aspect of it when it comes to the killing time lol. They will organized it carefully to make it as interesting possible until the someone got kill and the consequences of the killing will follow up.

A big NO!! I am sick of Hollywood producing about 2 or 3 gangster movies a year minimum. I don't get why this degenerate lifestyle is so appealling to people. And every movie I have seen lately is a watered down version of the Godfather, Goodfellas, or Scarface. I refuse to see anymore. I don't see it as a glamorous or dangerous lifestyle, just one that is dishonest and cowardly. I feel these movies are very unoriginal, and the promote an unethical way of life.

For me it has to be an interesting story line and it helps if there are some well known peoples who are starring in it. I don't like seeing a typical movie that is well pretty much predictable too. That for me can get boring too if it is way too long. I like a standard size movie which moves nicely and is not slow based in that it is interesting and keeps you on your toes throughout and does not take forever to get to the next scene. I don't mind watching a mafia based movie if it is as I described but also I like a break from it too so that I can enjoy my other favorite types of movies too. It is interesting to note that they do have an appeal with many fans and are loved by a variety of people.

I love Gangster movies. I think Goodfellows and The Godfather are probably the two best ganster movies that I have seen. Godfather is a classic and needs to explanation. Goodfellows I just enjoyed more for the action. I wish there would be more Gangster movies out, but I would be afraid they would look cheapened compared to those two classics.
