No I wouldnt buy brand names they will only get ruined and at this age they still grow so quickly she wont get a lot of wear out of them, save it for when she is begging for them in her teenage years!

The best clothing for a 1 year old is made of washable elastic that will stretch to twice it's size. haha Don't worry if the material won't last - she will grow out of it long before it wears out. By the sound of it you are not into hand-me-downs as they are hardly designer kit! We didn't have much money so second hand clothes from friends were normal and we in turn handed them on to others 6 months later. We did get some really pretty clothes from doting grandparents and great-aunts which was very sweet of them and much appreciated. Anyway, designer label clothes are not meant to last or stay in fashion. Designer obselesence is how they make their money! Have fun with your lovely daughter - lucky you!

You can't really buy name brand clothing for children if you are not wanting them to grow out of them or get ruined, as they grow quite quickly and are quite messy. My suggestion would be to wait until she's at least 8 years old before buying her name brand clothing - she will start to be old enough to respect her clothing and not get too incredibly dirty. Before then you probably wont have much luck.

The previous poster is correct. There is no way that you will be able to buy clothes that she will not grow out of, at least until high school. Kids grow rapidly, there is nothing that we can do to change that. Although that is not a good reason to not buy "name-brand" clothing that you want her to wear. There are literally hundreds of places to buy new and used name-brand kids' clothing. Depending on where you are, TJ Maxx and Marshalls both carry huge lines of kids clothes. The Children's place is a store near me that is a consignment store specifically forkids clothing in almost pristine condition. Look around in your area for kids clothing re-sale and consignment stores and you can have the best of both worlds. Your daughter can have really cute brand-name clothing, and if she gets it dirty, it wasnt too much of an investment at the beginning.
