Can a Neopet Die? / myLot

I have never killed a Neopet so I'm not sure if it is even possible. I know that I never feed mine because I've always thought that you couldn't kill them. So is it possible to kill your Neopet? If you cannot kill them, do you think they should change it so that they can die to teach more responsibility?

They took out the neopet's ability to die a long time ago. They used to die until they made it more child oriented. I agree it would teach kids some responsibility but parents were enraged at first because junior was too incompitant to take care of a virtual pet. Oh well, that my knowledge and my two cents, lol.

Nah, you can't kill one. It will just starve to the extreme and the happiness will drop to a bottom low. If they kill all the pets just because they are hungry, neopets will soon be out of business.

Well prehaps by abandoning it and no one adopt it , prehaps it will die because i believe the admin would delete after sometime.

nope.. admin doesnt delete pets unless it has an inappropriate name like for example a jetsam with the name of lovethoselegs... go to any pet lookup and put that name in its spot... of course tnt does not think from the jetsam's point of view... jetsams or sharks like to bite legs right? so of course the jetsam is thinking of its stomach and not about being perverted. fraulinesassy is a yellow chomby and she's sitting on breik_u4s programmer account... he has alot of pets sitting on his account since they reopened the pound. hopefully they will slowly release them back to the site so people can adopt them.

I don't think a Neopet can die. I asked someone about this and it appears that they can either get down to 0 health points or starving. I wonder if, though, if you leave it long enough without feeding it, they can take it away from you and put it in the pound. I don't know. I always try to check in on my pet and feed it at least a few times a week or more. I don't spend a lot of time with him right now.

You can't kill it and it won't die but I found that if you don't feed them on a regular basis you get less Random Events. I feed them junk food every few days and when I see a shop that has a ton of cheap food I stock up on it. If you don't want a pet any more you can always take them to the pound.

no they don't die and I like it that way, it's the only game which I can leave for long periods of time. However, they do change status to dying until you feed them again. :)
