Following the belated yet historic Reconciliation to the Australian Aboriginal people, This song has now become a hit. Yeah.

There is a feeling, for me anyway, that an impulse for humanity is with us and there are opportunities to bridge more gaps between not only races, but cultures and classes. You just have to choose to bridge gaps. Differences make us diverse and don't have to make us divisive.
I hope you have a listen to this compliments of youTube. The last comments make us all the same and would do well stuck on the fridge!
All of us are one
Because we are human
And if I cut you, you cut me -
What comes out?
Red blood
Not different colored blood
Only red blood.
Yes.

Excellent post Tetchie! Excellent.
I've always believed this and try to practice tolerance. Even here on the lot we have a golden opportunity to bridge cultural gaps and I"ve enjoyed doing so.
I wish more people would put in more effort to do the same.

Thanks Sparks. For the last month I have had a real sense of a push for humaneness, like there is something in the air. I've been writing a fair bit coming from this sense that we are all going through the same thing, the human experience and we are no different to the person we pass in the street. There is change in the air too. Feels like passing this song around can help the cause too.

An electric charge in the air - perhaps my sparks are spreading? LOL
Keep writing about it - it will help solidify your own philosophy and you just never know whose heart you'll reach and soften and change.

We Canadians have misused our aborigine es since day one. These people are a National Treasure, but have been treated like Animals. Public pressure is growing to change this, and change is slowly coming. The Natives are making money from Government run Casinos and this is raising their Standard of Living somewhat here in the south, but those who live on reservations in the Wilderness of Northern Ontario are still largely forgotten. Both the Federal, and Provincial Governments are very hesitant to spend money where it doesn't show, and there are very few votes coming from the Reservations. The Canadian People are ready to accept our First Nations into the Fold! Now,if we just could convince the Governments involved!
