Doing one of the free web pages on google

I just tried to do one of the free web pages on Google, but I can't find it? I assumed it would be easier if when I went to Google and typed in The Caprine Scene, it would come up sooner. But nope - do I need to get a link and submit it to search engines? I want to get hits, yes I know its about Goats, but is about charity, and building a business and the struggles as well. So anyone know how to get these things done cheaply, free even, and get it on search engines that we could actually find. Yes I do plan on putting ads on it! Got a quote from a company recently, 800 euros to do a web page, and 30 euros a month to maintain it, this would include a shopping cart link. Opinions and advice appreciated! Thanks, B
