" Eating what your body wants" or " Eating what you wants"
As much as I love to follow the first statement as far as my health is concern, I would say, I falls into the second statement. I just can't control myself eating junk food or anything unhealthy plus drinking soda! I always want to be considerate to myself and choose what I will eat but, this is the thing I would say, I still can't stop this time.LOL
How about you?

When you say what the body wants, or eating what you want it screams control or lack of it. I would have to Say I used to eat what I wanted and that all turned into fat, so now I eat what my body NEEDS , and that is the huge difference. There is no more control problem and I do not see my self as being deprived. If you body is telling you it wants sugar and junk food it is only doing so because that is what it knows, and there for craves. But if you give it what it needs there is no more craving, and just the bad habit of stuffing my face to get away from, and I am doing that slowly but surely it isn't always easy, but it is doable, I keep thinking that my cravings / wants are like a spoiled child who needs a bit of discipline and I am the only one who can do it.
Good discussion

We are on the same boat! LOL, I hope we will be starting to consider soon what our body wants instead of what we want, but, I do know in your case, maybe what you want is all nutritional food, sad for me it's not! Happy posting!

Hi dear
dont be sad
i told u that i never consider about nutrional value of food or what impact they have. i never take any food with thought that it may be beneficial for some purpose. so dont be sad, and i dont mind carrying few extra Kgs.
the only thing i dont drink are alcohal and energy drinks, i believe in natural energy and stamina
Take care

Hello checapricorn,
I am still eating what I want. When I was a teenager, I loved to drink Coke day and night. I could even wake up in the morning and had it as my first drink for the day. I have a very bad eating habit that I have so many do's and don't's so, to eat what my body really wants is something a bit hard for me to follow.

hello checapricorn!
i am BOTH, i feel lucky that i am not into craving junk food much though there are times that i do (specially when my monthly "IT" come along) i love to eat chocolates and ice cream and i do eat A LOT of everything i am craving for at that time LOL.
i try to be considerate on my body and i honestly dont want to be fluffy. i feel that i have a responsibility to myself as well to my husband.
i want to look good for my husband as well when i look in the mirror. i know my husband will still love me even if my size is like a cabinet BUT i dont want it to be like that. i love to walk normal and dress nice and have fun in the nature (trails and other out door fun) and i cant do that if i am over weight, i will be miserable hiking to places i want to go and i feel i will be missing so much of the wonders of the world.
i have nothing against people who loves to eat junk food as long as they know when to stop and how to exercise to make things balance.
i love to eat and i want to enjoy food. i eat more than my husband do and i am lucky that i am not gaining so much weight coz of that.
he knows how to trim me down LOL.
btw, i wish i can drink soda too my tummy is so sensitive that i will suffer for 2 days or at least the whole day if i have one. i can only ask him to have a sip of his favorite coke and ask him to kiss me so i can have the smell and taste of it haha.
thanks for the laugh anyway
takecare!

Eating what i want is an approprite phrase for my eating habbits. Its not that i cant control junk fund and stuff but i do take care of my health in a different manner rather than cutting on my tastes. I prefer to eat according to my tastes and satisfy my appetite. I dont want to hurt my stomach lol , yeah i am fond of delicious food.

and i used to eat a lot of junk food but i don't so much anymore. i eat the health stuff but its gooooooood. lol

I guess I am for the second statement. I am eating what I want now. And what I want is healthy food. Before I would stuff my mouth with junk food because they taste good. But now, I don't eat them now. I usually snack on popcorn, fruits and fruit juices instead of soda. I eat a lot of veggetables now too. And more importantly, I now do exercises.

when it comes to food i prefer "eating what you wants" because sometimes i can't control myself when i'm eating food and i don't think if it would be healthy for me or not. as long as i crave for something, i would definitely eat it

Like you im a bit naughty on that score,im a devil for eating all of the wrong things at the wrong times.Give me a big salad and fresh orange juice and my face will drop, but give me something junk foody and my eyes light up.I try so hard to train myself to be a healthy eater but nothing seems to work, and the more I think about it all the more I eat the junk food. The thin is that really I need to watch my figure too,I tend to run a bit plump so i could do with losing a few pounds, but no matter how I try all of those things that I shouldnt eat just slip between my lips, and somehow just fall down my throat, the question is how do I stop them doing it?

Well, hi there my dear friend; I would just like to share that I would definitely go for the thought of "Eating what I want that my Body needs". I am also concern with my health status because I am aware of some certain facts that triggers some circumstances that really needs time and effort to deal with. I am a health student on my third year and will be on my fourth year after summer is ended here in my country. I tend to avoid eating junk foods and I stick on providing myself with continuous supply of nutritious foods. I also adhere to the idea that Health is Wealth. That is all for now, hope you are having a great time just like I do.

I believe in the saying 'everything in moderation' so I do a mixture of both really and they also say 'a little bit of what you fancy does you good' so if I fancy a bar of choclate or pizza I will have but I think I do have a very varied balanced diet and make sure I have my five a day. Ellie :D

I was on both, i eat what my body needs as i eat what i want to eats. As a regular they, i eat nutritious food but there's always a temptations on junkfoods and fatty foods. After eating those nutritious food, there is the time where i call treat for my self where i eat what i want or what i like. The good things about my diet is i don't eat red meat, only fish or chicken and once in a blue moon for beef. We all know that pork as good source of fat especially the skin which is said to be delicious may cause heart ailment and risk to heart disease.
I didn't eat this food not because of the disadvantage but because of my family don't eat, we started not to eat when i was 14 years old and now i am 27.

i choose the first statement, i can't eat what i want even if i want to, my money is only enough to spend for my daily necessity, i can't afford to buy yellow cab pizza even i want to, can't buy rid ribbon cake even i want to... heheh is that reasonable in choosing the first statement?

Like you, I also falls into the second statement. I know very well that I need to avoid eating fatty foods as well as eggs and chicken but I could not stop myself from eating those. Junk foods as well as canned goods are not allowed since I had a problem with my health lately but still I continue to eat those once in a while.
