I would say most animated movies are kids movies, but there are others rated G and PG that aren't animated that would be kids movies too. Thanks for the response!

Isn't it amazing that a lot of "kids movies" really make you feel such strong emotions?!

LOL - yeah I could see how you would have to watch them, but you wouldn't necessarily have to like them. Would you rather watch the kids movie, or see something different if given the option? (Thanks for the response!)

I have never outgrown my love for animated movies. The art fascinate me as well as the story. Now with kids, the more I enjoy watching them. I ensure too that they get something good out of it. Very seldom do we see it in theater, we just waited for it to be released in DVDs.

As a parent of a 4 year old and care provider of a few other children under the age of 5, waiting for the dvd is the option that I chose. Watching the way their little faces light up and the emotion's flowing, makes me enjoy the movie as anew even if it is the 1st time even if it is the 100th time of watching the movie.
At this point in time, I am avoiding the over stimulation and other aspects of a movie theater til my child is at least 6 years old. In the end doing it this way, should ensure that both of us enjoy the experience and movie without many of the drawbacks that can come from a theater.
As for myself, I have always enjoyed watching children's movies, cartoons and tv shows. If anything, it helps relieve stress and depression but it also helps you get a good laugh and possibly new insight into any problem that may need solving.

I do enjoy watching animated films though I try not to think of them as kids movies. I love the movies that are for kids but also for adults with little jokes that kids wouldn't understand. My favourites are films like Finding Nemo, Shrek (1,2 and 3) and Toy Story (1 and 2).

Yes. Sometimes I when I don't really want to think about anything, kiddie movies help. I mean, they can be clever but the atmosphere is different, you know? I watch them to escape the larger problems in life. It helps.

I am young adult but I am a kid at heart. Yes, I enjoy movies that are for kids. I find them entertaining. Two of my favorite kids' movies are Little Rascals and School of Rock. The stars in both movies are cute little kids. I am very fond of cute little kids. The lead character in the Little Rascals, Alfalfa is very adorable. He wants to win the heart of Darla, a pretty kid. He joins a race against Darla's love interest and wins the race and becomes Darla's sweetheart. The School of Rock is about talented musicians who joins a contest if I am not mistaken. It is also very cute. They are very talented kids.

My husband and I do enjoy Disney Movies quite a bit. However we DON'T like movie theaters. They are usually crowded and uncomfortable and I can't pause the movie to make a comment or go to the bathroom. So we usually wait to get the DVD and watch them in the comfort of our own home.
