I used to be with weight watchers and they say that even if you dont change your eating habits but drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day you will loose weight.

Hey that's great! Lots of water is so beneficial for your body! It cleanses, flushes, and makes your skin look lovely!

I use a Brita filter but rarely drink water by itself.I usually use it for making diet ice tea or other diet drinks. My g/f however has a very sensitive body system and when at home she uses distilled water purchased in those gigantic bottles on coolers. When out,she will drink bottled water only. She had many more internal illnesses before we stopped using tapped water for anything(including cooking).

Wow - she must really have a sensitive system if tap water was making her sick. At least you figured out that filtered water would keep her well.

it has definately made a difference to her health. She can not even use Brita-filtered water for the same reason.
I dis an experiment once where I took 2 glasses of water-one filtered and one tapped.I then made diet ice tea and put them side by side in the freezer. The filtered water had a skim of ice withing 45 minutes but the non-filtered took over 1 1/2 hours to reach the same level of ice.The impurities in the tap are definately there no mater what the government says.
And yes,I AM in search of a life.....

LOL - I honestly think little experiments like that are WAY interesting! Except if I were the one conducting it, I'd have to do it 3 days in a row or something while changing places in the freezer for each one just to make sure it wasn't freezing differently because of placement. Yeah, I know, I probably need a life too!

I agree - the taste is greatly improved by filtering the water. Where we live, our tap water tastes SO bad, I just can't imagine that it's safe to drink. We buy filtered in 5 gallon jugs, and distill it in a water distiller when we run out. The taste isn't much better in the distiller, but when you see how much crap is left in the distiller when it's finished, I'm certain it's better to not drink out tap.

We drink the water which has been run through our e-spring purifier. We bought it through our own business, and have been pleased with it
as it removes all that my wife is sensitive to in the water.
Previously, we used to boil and then brita it; otherwise she could not drink it. Possibly the chlorination??
The e-spring goes the full year, better the previous water treatment system from the same company. Redesigned the filter, so even though it is a bit smaller to make room for the uv light (requires a power outlet nearby) it is more effective. I would not have believed it!

i find that distilled water is best; next to filtered water. bottled water is usually fake - it pretty similar to tap water...

I've read that bottled water isn't any cleaner than tap water. Who knows!

I tend to drink either straight tap water or filtered water like Brita. I like drinking the Brita water because I keep a pitcher of it cold in my refrigerator. It's really refreshing to drink it on a hot summer day. But, I'm one of those people who don't mind drinking the tap water once in a while even though a lot of people don't really like it.
