How does my lot work?

How does my lot work? Do you have to sit at the computer and answer all of the discussion questions to earn money or do you earn money when you start new discussions? I have not figured it out yet. If someone could help me out here, I would appreciate it. I earned a little bit of money when I added some discussion items but, then I asked some people if they would like to be added to my friends list and I had no takers. I did like the one discussion about how to get traffic to come to your site. I appreciate all of the help that I can get.

You earn money for both beginning quality discussions and by providing quality answers to others discussions. Well you earn I guess for any kind of question or answer but you will earn more at a better rate for adding quality content. try to keep your questions and answers up to at least 4 sentences.
It's not difficult and it's so much fun. I have been learning so much from the people here and I have been sharing a lot of interesting and fun things that I have learned as well as experiences that I have been through.

What does the 245 mean beside of your name? Do you have that many discussions on mylot? Thank you for replying back earlier about the earnings on mylot.

Yes the number next to your name show how many total posts you have done since you first joined Mylot. At certain post levels different things open up to you. For instance at 100 you get the little rating star. At 200 you can add emotes 
. At 500 you can then paste things into your discussions. I'm sure there are more things that I don't know about. This is just what I have learned so far.

Thank you for this very valuable information. As I am also new to the site although I did join over a year ago but wasn't active for some stupid reason - I am now well on my way to take part and also start discussions. This can become addictive and loads of fun.

Hi, I only started on Mylot tonight. I know I am not going to earn a fortune but anything will do at the moment. I have had fun tonight and hope to talk with a lot of you more in the future. I am not sure how it all works either but I am sure we will work it out as we go along. Good luck.
