yesterday i cry a lot. too much that my eyes begin to swell. the funny thing is i dont know why. then today i have my period. yesterday i hit my boyfriend on the face because he did not kiss me when i came. those a petty reasons i know but sometimes i cant help myself. sometimes i want to cry and i dont know why. sometimes i get angry and very impatient and i dont know for what reason at all.

Yes, it's very normal as I do the same. I didn't use to cry before my period. I used to be very grumpy though and a slight joke couuld rage me.
But when I was in my late 20's I started to be very whimpy just before my period. I didn't know they were somehow related. But everytime I call my friend and cry to him he would ask me, "Do you have your period?" And I would say No. But after a couple of days I'd have it. Until now I still get whimpy before that time of the month.

to me it sounds like good old PMS but it depends on how much you feel lik tis before your period. For me I get tearful and stuff before my period which is down to PMS and to help I have taken some evening primrose oil tablets which have helped. If the feelings have been going on for longer then I suggest you go to your doctor and see what he/she says as it might be something else such as stress or depression. Go steady on your boyfriend though, explain to him how you are feeling and if it is PMS a warning that you are due on might help, or at least it does for me with my boyfriend as he is aware that I might be a bit fragile.I hope that this helps.

hi there, im not sure whether it is for menopausakl women but I know it is always recommended for PMS here in the UK. I have been taking it for a month now and it definately makes a diference. If you are unsure ask your doctor first but I know lots of women who swear by it so it might be worth a try if this does keep up.

Yes it is normal .
Nothing to worry about it . Crying is not bad for some time , if you feel to do it some time ...
I also cry without any reason . Some times I remember the condition of poor people and feel the pain ....then I cry ...
Otherwise I am very strong person in front of my family and friends...
so don't be shy and now be happy after a lots of crying ...
thanks !!!

The hormones that trigger your cycle to start are probably causing your emotional upset. This is normal. What isn't normal is to actually go so far as to hit your boyfriend. If you have symptoms that are making you lash out physically you really need to see your GYN about help managing PMS.

You really should check with a doctor. It could be PMS, estrogen inbalance, lack of certain vitamins in your diet. A B-complex vitamin may help. But, you really should check with your family doctor.
