Now, internet shopping is becoming more popular these days, and some colleagues around me buy a lot of stuff, such as clothes, baby staff, IT products, even computers from internet, but I still have my own worries about that.
first, i worry about the quality of the products. Is it reliable?
second, I worry about the security of my account.
last, I think it to be rather complicated.
Am I right? what do you think?

I think you worries is right! but there are some method help you to reduce the risk!
(1) Choose the seller carefully, only buy stuff from the seller who have high reputation.
(2)first time, do not buy too much stuff, just for try the size of cloth or stuff fit on your size and style, and also can check the quality.
(3) for buying clothes, I suggestion you buy from offical website of some famour brands, like Mango, River Island, etc. then you can check that in their retail store frist, then buy on line.
I have about 3 years experience for shopping online. this is something I did for protect myself. hope that is helpful ! : )

hello,
the internet market can be a very useful tool when you go shopping. for one, you can do it in the comforts of your own home. and in some cases over the internet, you can ask or look for a cheaper price of a certain product. yes it could really be a good tool. and then theres that situation with the credit card identity theft over the internet to worry about. when shopping over the internet one must be sure that it is a safe site to shop in. and use certain protection to prevent this from happening. like using paypal or using alertpay or whatever there is. and the other downside of buying from the internet is buying clothes that you think you would fit into but when it gets here, your 1 size smaller or 1 size bigger... and to have it exchanged again takes more time. but in shopping over the internet, these are the risks you have to take. hopefully sooner or later the internet market would improve and it would be a safer place to shop in.

I recommend getting a credit card just for use on the net. Stop the card company from increasing the credit limit and keep it at a low figure that suits you. I have mine set at only £3,000.
Use your common sense and you will pick out phishing emails that go for your personal information.
When filling in your credit card details to buy online make sure you are on a secure web page that is encrypted - that is it should start https:\\ and have a gold padlock bottom right.
Be careful with eBay who you buy from - I've spent thousands there with no problem but there are crooks about on that site.
Remember, your card is unsafe when a waiter in a restaurant takes it away to process payment at the pay desk! Out of your site he could copy the info. So a card is never really safe.
But payment online at a secure site is just a 'safe' or dangerous as paying by hand in many other places so I don't loose sleep over it.
It is soooo convenient to shop online. I do it all the time.

Hello there, without having any online shopping experience, your worry is reasonable. I have tried shopping with eBay; initially I just bought something really cheap and regard it as a tester. Eventually, it turned out quite well. In long term, I learn what it is worth buying and what type of sellers are reliable. I also find out that there could be bogus items on sale. Besides, I find a good and secure online shopping site called QVC. I have bought lots of good bargain from it. Obviously, my experience told me not to buy clothes, shoes etc. that need to be measured or tried on online as sometimes they will go wrong. Buying jewels, watches or handbags etc. online will do.

Hi There,
I think worrying about Internet shopping used to be a legitimate concern. However, it has now turned into a very common and everyday thing which is very popular and full of safeguards. I have had only success in my Internet shopping and dealings. That still does not mean everything is safe. Buyer beware!
cheers,

Yes, a year agao my brother had his information stolen online before and had several charges placed on his account. He was able to cancle his card and get a credit for some of it but still ended up owing his credit card 400$ or so. I have shopped online a few times but I am always worried of this happening to me. That is why I will rarely do it unless it is for an item I absolutly have to have and am unable to find it elsewhere.

Internet shopping is a great thing. I buy all my computer and office supplies through Staples.com and not only is it fast, but they deliver my order free to my door if it is for more than $50 (which it usually is). Electronic banking is fast and safe. Since I only use sites I have myself selected and set up, I don't have any security problems or concerns. Usually, it is simple and straightforward to establish an account and order from these sites. It saves gas, postage, and time.
Great resource--use it!!

I am a little worried about the quality of the product and how much it will cost if I don't like it to return it. I am especially worried with places such as ebay where their are many sellers rather than just an online company.

Internet Shopping is getting popular these days. I shop lot on internet and I am satisfoed by this exprience. Your concern is genuine and I felt it same way when I started shopping on net for the first time. But there are some precautions thatyoucan follow to have a safe online shopping exprience.
1. Use security on your computer by installing Antivirus and Firewall.
2. Only go to known and legitmate site.
3. Check for website's security certificate
4. Chnage your Bank account's password after making a transaction.

I used to buy alot more on the internet, but I had my CC stolen from one online site. Since then I have cut back amost to nothing. I feel bad for the e-commerce and it was so easy to buy stuff and research and get the price. All it took was one bad experience and that killed it for me.
