I do and it's totally awesome! I love Ubuntu and it's great that it came with all this free software. I have to pay for everything that windows comes with. Open Office Microsoft Suite

I have been hearing a lot of good comments about Ubuntu. Did you do the install or did it come on your computer?

Thanks. Actually since I posted this I did some more research on it. It seems that you can install Ubuntu as a Windows program so that it runs inside Windows, kind of. it is installed as a Windows program and can be uninstalled the same way. But to access it you must restart your computer and then you get the option as to which OS you want to use. I think thta this is a great option so that I can test it without removing or potentially damaging my Windows install. I am downloading it now. I will let you know how it goes.

That's an aspect I didn't know about. I'd say that's pretty cool - the developers of this software are VERY accommodating!! Even better news on their behalf!!

You can install from a download online or you can request a CD-Rom from the company and they'll send it free for you to load. Right now, Microsoft has the market on preloaded software, if I understand correctly. You would replace their software with Ubuntu's. Be sure you keep your restart disks from the original installation, though, just in case you don't like the Linux set up. That way, you can re-install Windows and the other software you had.

I am using Ubuntu as well as some other linux system Its really good to use as you said n need to go for ms-office, then one more thing is that u dont need to go for any zip and unzip software. It comes default with Linux. And one more interesting thing about ubuntu is that you can access all your windows drives(incase you have two operating system). In other linux we need to mount these drives separately.

I use UBUNTU when my windows crash so that i can recover my files, its a nice and easy program. You dont have to install it, I ordered a cd from the company for FREE, yes FREE (paid nothing watsoever),and it can be used as a live cd. Live cd meaning it runs of the cd and does not affect ur computer in any way. Its a good way for anyne who wants to try Ubuntu out.

Ubuntu is not an option in Office Suite. It is an operating system like Windows is an operating system. You use it INSTEAD OF Windows Office Suite. It comes free and loaded with everything you need. Open Office is similar to MS Office Suite, but it can be used in so many ways. It "translates" the document you are creating into whatever other "language" you need (Word, Text, WordPerfect, Excel, etc). It also creates and reads PDF forms without downloading or buying Adobe. If there is one glitch with Ubuntu, it is that some websites are only programmed for Windows users. And, that's not Ubuntu's glitch, but that of the site creators who fail to realize that Microsoft isn't the only game in town. This has happened really very rarely to me, but it does happen. Also, many online games are Windows based. The testing service used by many staffing agencies are also Windows based, so I can't take their tests at home. Other than that, I absolutely LOVE IT!! The updates are free, the service is free, the help from them is free, the games are free, the office software is free. Free is the best price going!!

Correction - Ubuntu is used instead of Windows and Open office is used instead of Office Suite.
