One of my friends is also a member of Mylot. But yesterday Mylot suspended his account because of copy paste issue. He has 13.48$ for april and almost 93 cents for May.
He was not aware of this policy. So Mylot suspended his account yesterday. Now he can login his Mylot account but cannot post discussions' responses and cannot upload photos.
I want to ask that will he get his payout for month of April? And is there any chances to activate his account again.
Because he was really not aware of copy paste policy. He also sent an email to Mylot about it. And said sorry to them.
I know this is his mistake. He should read guidline first.
I want to ask that is it possible to active his account again and will he get his payout this month.
Thanks

Hi There, that is a good Idea, maybe your friend may ask mylot if he can activate his account.

I don't get it.
Copy and paste is not fully against mylot guidelines.Users with greater than 500 posts are allowed to copy and paste by mylot itself.
You must just not copy and paste "copyrighted articles".

What exactly did he violate? Was he repeated violater?Has he already received warnings from mylot?[/i]
If you tell that,I think it would be less tougher to predict the outcome.
Cheers! Have a nice day
Happy mylotting and happy earnings.

Hmmm, what kind of breach was it though?
Did he paste copyrighted material into a discussion, or was he abusing the system by continuously putting affiliate links in discussions (which is definitely against mylot guidelines... its okay to have affiliate links in your profile but not to put them in discussions).
I broke one of the posting guidelines in my first discussion on mylot, after the discussion was deleted I went and read the guidelines. It's always a good idea to keep up to date with the guidelines just in case they get changed for some reason. It's probably a good idea to read them at least once per month.

I dont think your friend will receive his earnings for obvious reasons. Most of these opinion sites have a policy against copy & paste, why should your friend get paid for someone else's opinion. Its nice that he sent an email to apologise for his mistake but i dont think that he will receive his earnings. MyLot may agree that this was a genuine mistake, but it is pretty obvious that you should never copy & paste someones opinion & he should have read the guideline on this before. If he was to continue to correspond with mylot about this, they may reinstate his membership, but only if he can prove to them that this was a mistake & will never happen again.

Frankly speaking i didnot know that mylot too bans users but yes if they do violate the terms and conditions then they aught to be banned But since your friend did not know about the issues and did it by mistake he might be pardoned .

Nope. If his account is suspended, he will not get paid.

Hello, well he was getting discussions deleted due to breaking the rules. Each time he was breaking the rules myLot was probably sending him alerts/private messages stating that he is breaking the rules and that he needs to review the rules. Since he failed to follow the rules his account is now inactive. I'm not sure if he will get payment. My mind is thining not because his account is suspended but let us know to see if he gets paid.

I'm sorry for your friends suspension, I think thats verybad becuase its really hard to post discussion in a way that you need to think and ita not allowed to copy paste some internet contents to your discussion. Thats really sad, if this happen to me I think I don't know what to do. I'm sure your friend still thinking of his $13 earnings.

I am sorry but I was new two months ago and the first thing
I did was to read all the rules.if he had got a new job wouldnt he have asked what he was supposed to do. Ihave no sympathy with someone who will not read the rules before entering mylot asthey are right there to be read by anyone. he will not get paid for breaking the rules he should havebeen smart enought to read.
He may be able tostart over but i have no idea. he will have to read the rules why should he be any differentthan any of the rest of us?

I suppose that all depends on the exact term that he broke. All MyLot have done at the moment is suspend the account, so perhaps they are still investigating?
I htink your best bet is to tell your friend to contact MyLot directly. They're the only ones who can tell him.

What exactly did he do? I mean copy and pasting is pretty typical after reaching 500. So I am curious as to what he did to get suspended? And did he recieve any warning notices first?
