I mean I remember we didn't even have 'em. Now I cannot put it down, turn it off, or not answer when it rings. I don't know what life would be like. My cell phone is my office, my calender, my lifeline. What would life be like without your attachment? Let us know.

Oh I will say, that my life is just the same as before. Only thing is my cell dont ring for calls, but it reminds me of the text messages I receive from my friends. I get lots and lots of text messages, messages that are sent to ask for help, simple messages that show they remember me, a hai, good morning, everything is shared between us. I have my mobile with me always as DH or kids call me in that number when I am out of the house. My parents too call me, when they cant reach me in the house phone as they know that I take my mobile even when I go to the neighbour's house. Though it is not an attachment for me, it have felt its need. Genenrally I remember phone numbers or birthdays or anniversaries, as I have the habit of memorizing them from my young age, so I dont find any difference, only thing is it reminds me once more. Otherwise...... it is just the same.

Just had that conversation with someone. Do you remember phone numbers anymore? Before the cell phone I had to write numbers down and subsequently would memorize them. I remember a high school girlfriends number, my old house numbers, etc.
Now when I get a number I just put it n my phone. When I look to call that person I scroll down to the name. I'm rarely in contact with that number once its programed.
My last phone actually displayed number and name in the directory, since that fell down the stairs I've had to downgrade for a min. So I'll never remember anyones phone number again. Dont even know my mothers house number, terrible!!!

Life without my cell phone?...
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. (sigh of relief...)
My life would be considerably less stressful. I would be completely unorganized, out of business and broke, but stress free. Lol Like you, my calendar, contacts, to do list and everything else in my life is in my phone. I would be lost.
I don't know if you remember a movie that came out in the mid 80's I think where a guy lost his "File-a-Facts" (which was a movie version of the paper DayTimer)and someone took over his life. I would be like that.

Thank you for the sim card! I hate losing all my numbers but now I try to save to sim so at least when I lose a phone (twice a year) for whatever reason(water damage, falls out the car on the highway, or down the stairs, or just couldn't fly, or hold up to the pressure of a back pocket on a bus seat?) I don't lose my phone numbers and saved messages. Lose my pictures tho and I take some wild pics and videos on my phones! Let me tell you! Banned from TV!!!

My life would be exactly the same as it is now, because I do not have a cellphone and I do not want to have one.

I just wondered to stop using cell phone.During the days i have a cell phone,i always look at it and maybe i am waiting for someone to call me.And when a call is coming, maybe it will disturb your plan!
I went for a travel last week and didn't take my cell phone. And i forgot everything and just enjoy the beauty. It is a feeling of freedom!
But i will go to work and communicate with others. So i will still need it.

I'd love to feel that freedom again. I'd have to go on vacation and leave a msg on my phone letting people know I was out of town.
Man I forgot what it was like.

well that good for you, i mean then you can be contacted anytime anywhere when you are wanted to be contacted. and then you wont miss important calls, important appointments. but on the other hand, you might also be annoyed sometimes, when someone you dont want to talk to calls you, repeatly sometimes; or when you dont want to be disturbed; or at 3am in the morning, you know what i am saying?
have 2 numbers, 1 is important and 1 is for other things. or 1 for close members, like families, friends, partners or church friends, the other 1 for work, social life and to strangers,heyhey...

Wish I had two numbers!
My phone is also my mobile office. My phone number is posted on the back of my album cover for anyone to call me. I dont get annoyed unless I cant answer it or its a bill collector. I dont sleep and if I do whatever I miss wasnt meant to catch!
Sometimes I dont want to talk to family. LOL.
I cant be without the phone!!
