When we get a response to our discussion,we get a notification.
When we get a comment to our response,we get a notification.
But,
Consider we start a discussion and it gets a response.[we get notification]We comment it.And the person who posted the response ,comments to our response. But,I think we don't get a notification in this case.
I mean there is no notification to the comment, which we get to our comment.
Don't you think we should be notified to every action concerned with the discussion we have started?
I hope I am clear.
Share your views.I just now noticed this case.

Yes you are clear 98765m,
I have found myself asking this same question everytime I get a new response then find myself looking at two or three more responses added onto the first response that I recieved say one week ago? I also wished that everytime someone adds a comment no matter how many times they do it would show up. Hopefully that changes soon.

Yea.I too agree.
Just because I don't get notifications for that,I think I have to and check it manually.
If I have started less number of discussions,or got less number of responses,I can do it some how.
What if I have got 30 responses?I can't go on checking each discussion every day.
I hope mylot looks into this quickly.
Cheers! Have a great day
Happy mylotting and happy earnings

Hi! I think I understand what you mean. Ill try to restate it in the third party perspective so everything is clear. Example:
98765m(You)start a discussion.(you get notification),
bjcyrix(I) respond(you get notification),
98765m comment(I get notification, you dont),
bjcyrix comment(back)(you get notification), then
user123(3rd person)comments (on bjcyrix's comment),(I get a notification),(you DONT get a notification).,
bjcyrix comments on user123's comment(user123 gets notification),(you DONT get notification).
Is this what you mean? If yes, then yeah, I have noticed this too. We get notifications when someone has responded to our discussion and if someone comments on our response. What happens in between goes unnoticed unless you check it yourself. I hope im right in my assumptions and I just hope I didnt make the possible confusion worse. Im just trying to clear things up. Sorry if it didnt help.
About the notifications to every comment made in a discussion we started then I agree. It is our discussion and we should know what goes on in it.^_^

A small correction:-
bjcyrix comment(back)(you get notification), then
No,I don't get notification.I mean ,just in another discussion an hour ago,I didn't receive.
To be more clear,if you post a comment to this,I WONT get notification.
I hope I have cleared your doubt.
Thanks for responding.I really appreciate your effort.
Cheers! Have a great day
Happy mylotting.

Yeah, thanks for clearing that up and for the correction. It happened to me too just a few hours ago. I was a bit bumbed that most of my responses dont get comments anymore then I guess maybe there are commens Ive made that have been commented on but I guess I dont know about it because of the mail notifications.

I think the myLot practice is that only the first comment or post from a member in response to one's discussion ends up in a notification to the discussion starter. Subsequent ones don't. Personally I think it will be good if a member who started a discussion can be notified of all posts and comments that are received for that thread. If a member starts many discussions and get many follow-up responses (comments to responses, comments to comments, etc) and some of these can come many days later, it is hard for the member to know what has come in and respond in a timely manner.

Hmm........I'm not sure. when I get a notification that someone responded, I kind of flip through all the responses to get to that one. I do think that I get notifications to all responses even if they are re-responses. i guess i'll have to pay more attention.

Wow, how many matters are there in mylot.. i have not at all notices this notification matters..
In fact, in the notification which i have received, i use to watch only the "Mylot digest" everyday.. the other things i will check it up here it self..
So, i have not noted down that issue what you have mentioned the "Notification for the comments for your comments.."
Its an excellent matters.. no one can think about this.. such a great job..
By raising this discussion, you notify that ask us to notify the notification of mylot..
Thanks for the same.. All the very best..

I can appreciate the point that you are making, but I presume that Mylot admin consider that it would be unnecessary to go to such an extent. If a long conversation takes place, which does happen at times, you would end up with an inordinate amount of emails notifying you of each added part of the dialogue.

I would do certainly get many e mails.
But,I don't think it would interfere me.
For example,if I receive 10 responses to a discussion of mine,I would get only 1 email,with 10 in brackets,and when I enter the email,all 10 would be there.
I mean this would be the case, irrespective whether you have already read the previous 9 responses.
I think I am a bit confusing. But,thats what is happening,at least in my gmail account.
Cheers! Have a nice day
Happy mylotting

I know exactly what you are saying! I spend most of my time on mylot responding to discussions so I can't keep track of every single one that I have commented on. Every once in awhile I will get a notice about a comment to a comment, but 99% of the time I don't.
I wish we did though because I have stumbled across discussions in the past and have gone to look at it again. Only then have I found out that there were more comments to me sitting there.

Yea.I think only rarely we get notification for the comment to the comment.
I don't know how many comments are still there in my discussions and responses which are yet to be seen.
I hope mylot does something about this soon.
Cheers! Have a good day
Happy mylotting and happy earnings.

I have noticed that is seems intermittent. Sometimes I will get a notification to a response to a response to a response and so-forth and so on. But, other times, I will only get one notification for the first response and none of the rest of the responses under that initial response from one myLotian. I don't know why that happens. But, I would like notification for all responses and the responses to responses from then on. I have missed some in the past and it bothers me because I never want my fellow myLotians to think I am ignoring them.

Yea.You are right.
I don't know how Mylot has done about notification to a comment to a comment.

Yea,I agree.Sometimes, the comments which we didn't read would have been really helpful to us.=This happened just an hour after I started this discussion.

LoL, that does sound sorta difficult to understand, but I do know what you mean because I'd been wondering about it myself. If someone takes the time to add anything to one of my discussions I want to know about it, and at the moment it's sometimes just by chance that I notice.

I think a notification is needed. We can see who have comment/response to our post/discussion. And what they have said, what's their idea. Without the notification, we can hard to see from the dicussion we 've join, page to page whether someonce have comment to our post.
