Chicago Bears starting running back Cedric Benson the latest NFL star to get in trouble with the law. Cedric was arrested for driving his boat while intoxicated, among other charges.
The Bears have been disappointed with Benson's on the field performance and his off filed problems may cause the Bears to part ways with the former 1st round draft pick.
The Bears were wise to take a running back in the 2nd round of this years draft.

Cedric Benson has been a bust. He was supposed to be the next best thing in Chicago. I think Miami made the best choice that year with a running back, selecting Ronnie Brown (I may only say that because I'm a huge dolphins fan, and sure he got hurt last year, but he has done great things) But then the Bears selected Benson? They passed on Carnell Williams, who has done pretty good (better than Benson anyways) I don't see him being in Chicago too much longer if he keeps it up and yes they were VERY wise to select on in the 2nd round.

Benson does not play well enough to be getting trouble like this. Bears are gonna cut him.

I agree. Benson is another example of someone given an opportunity doing what he supposedly loves and then ruining it, because he can't behave.
The money these players make that give them a life where they don't have to worry about gas or food prices, it should be enough motivation to get them to behave while they are playing.
They have a responsibility to the team and their teammates. Hopefully Benson invested his money well.
