Question for the 'extended' breastfeeders!

I am nursing my one year old and I plan to continue for a good long while. My question is about weight loss and I am admittedly a little vain, so I understand some of you might not concern yourself with this! I have lost all my pregnancy weight and have been at a plateau for a few months. My question is, after one year did you continue to drop weight? My goal is 125 which is not too thin for my height, but the weight I feel most confident at. I am roughly 5-10 pounds off and I'm curious if nursing will continue to produce a loss over time.

I nursed all five of mine for an extended period of time. From my experience, once I got back to my pre-pregnancy weight, I did not lose any more. At that point, I had to start excersising a lot in order to lose any more weight.

That's disappointing to hear but thanks for the input. How long did you nurse?

I nursed my first 3 from birth until they were about 19 months old. My fourth and fifth babies nursed until they were about 17 months old.

The way I believe it once you have lost the baby / pregnancy weight you won't continue to lose weight even if you still nurse. I am one of those people that thinks you should stop nursing at one years old so I don't know for a fact because I stopped but that's the way I understand it.
