How about you... do you text... or do you just call up and start talking.
To me.. texting is so much easier... you don't have to hope they are able to talk... they can respond when they can ...
like the kids... they are at school... well I don't know when they are not in class... when they are at lunch, so I just text and tell them something and they can respond when they are able.... no one is interupted and the day goes on!
Do you like to text?

I don't like the texting, it may be ok if you are texting from home but so many people do it while driving.. That scares me as most of the times that we have been cut off in traffic, the person doing it was on their phone.. We had a block put on our phone so there would be no more texting after an $85.00 phone bill just for the texting and this didn't include the monthly phone service.. My son did the texting and he had to pay the estra..

I do like to text, but not on the level of a lot of other people. I have only a thousand messages on my phone, and I don't use all of those. I have a couple of nieces though that would be insulted if they only had a thousand a month. They will go through that in a week.

I do both. But, I'm more of a texter. I do call at times if its really important or I'm missing someone so much. I do value communication so much that's why I do both as my little way of showing care.

I agree! I like texting more than calling someone. Texting is something you can do during class! Lol. If you need to say something to someone, you just send him or her a text message, and he or she will reply, whereas when you call someone and he or she doesn't pick up, you have to call another time. Texting is just way easier!

I like texting because people around u can not eavesdrop. Most people are really nosey and will comment sometimes. When I am at work I dont want coworkers in my business.

I do text an awful lot. I text my husband during the day when he is at work and my ex so I don't have to talk to him LOL
On my plan I get 500 text messages a month, I usually burn though 300 of them.

I come from a coutry where texting is so common... almost everybody does it... but for me... i prefer to call rather than text... since this way... i don't have to wait for a response... and everything can be done a lot faster...
But i still text... especially when it is already too late to call...

I love texting I use it as much as I possibly can. I don't always like to talk on the phone and sometimes I just want to send a quick tiny message to someone without calling an wasting time with it all. I also love to email, sending an email is far better for me than calling someone I can sit down and think about what I want to say and I get it all wrote down and I don't forget somethings that I really want that person to know.

If what I need to ask a person doesn't require an immediate answer, then I would just text rather than call. It is a lot cheaper that way. I would also text if it is just a simple conversation and I don't need to discuss a lot. But if it is something very urgent and I need to discuss things thoroughly to that person, then I would just make that call. It would be a lot simpler and miscommunications would have been avoided.

I prefer to just speak with the person. I just don't get the texting thing. It's harder, it's impersonal, and I see people trying to do it while they are driving. I just don't get the whole aspect of it. Maybe it's just me, because I know people that do nothing but text text text. Isn't that what email is for? If I want to speak with someone I will call them and speak with them.

I'm definitely a texter. I agree that texting is easier and more economical. Here in the Phils, the telecommunication service providers have promos like unlimited texting for a specified number of days by just sending a text message to a number. Though making a call is faster and more convenient, I like having everything written down in black and white.

I generally only text if someone texts me first. I have a phone with a full keyboard so it is not that bad. My husband loves to text and when I had a regular phone and he would text I hated it. I didn't respond half the time. So he bought me a new phone. Now it doesn't bother me too much to text.
My sister just got a new phone with a keyboard too so she has been texting me more lately.
I text my husband if I need to ask him something while he is at work. I don't call him at work because he might be in a meeting or with a patient.

I am a texter. I like to text a lot. I agree with you that we can just text anyone when we are able to. And their or rather our work will not be interrupted. Except when we are studying our lesson. And yes, texting is so much easier than calling. And much more cheaper. We can text them whenever we want to and they can respond whenever they want to provided that they are doing a light job. But sometimes, I also get frustrated when they do not respond immediately.
