In your opinion which is the best laptop brand that you could get. I want to get a new one laptop, for school, for personal use, and online use. What do you recommend?

Hi, what do you usually do with your laptop?
If you are into just typing, surfing, and a bit of listening to music, and you want something very light and one which you can just stick into your bag and bring to school, while being ultra-affordable, check out the eeePC 900. :) Get it in Xandros Linux so you can enjoy a 20GB Solid State Drive (much like a flash drive) space. On Windows, it's only 14GB.
If you want more power with you laptop, like you play games on it, you can go for a Toshiba Satellite or an Asus computer. I would recommend these because these are pretty durable.
Ideal specs for gamers are: 2GB RAM, 80GB up hard drive, 2.0 GHz and up Intel processor. If you are trying to scrimp, just get a 2.0 GHz laptop, with 1GB hard drive, and you just buy two 1-GB RAM sticks so that you can upgrade the memory for a cheaper price. Laptop companies jack up the price for higher specs so you may end up paying a killing for what should actually cost you just around $56.
Try to determine:
-What weight do you want the laptop to be in?
-What do you need out of the laptop?
-What size of the laptop would you want?
For me the best ultraportables in the market are the Macbook Air, the eeePC 900, and those of Fujitsu. I would hesitate really recommending Fujitsu because they are rather expensive. I would recommend the Macbook Air because they are just engineering beauties. They are also very stable, and what I love about the Mac is that the sleep function is superb!
For the 14"-15" I would recommend Toshiba, Asus and even System76 if you're into Linux. http://www.system76.com. Acer is also good, so is Lenovo's THINKPAD line, because it came from IBM's Thinkpad line: known for its durability.
Dell is also rather stable while being affordable, but I know that quite a few people had issues with Dell. Sony Vaio is eye candy, but the price tag is rather... Eek.
I won't spend too much on a PC Laptop, frankly, as Asus makes great laptops at a lower price point anyway. But I would cheer you on if you got a Mac. It would truly become an investment for you if you buy one!
