Well My Fiance and I like to stay home more than go out, and when we do it is always with his friends... never really with mine as we live in two different counties and we hardly ever talk.
I don't have anything to worry about as I do know that he always has been one to stay home and always will be.

Have you tried talking to him and telling him that the materialistic things are much appreciative but not needed as you just wish that he would spend more time with you. Setting up a date atleast once a week might be of great order so that you and him can be alone.

Me too. I love to stay and spend time with my man. For these past few days or weeks, he had been busy and we were not always seeing each other... so I really prefer a quality time with him alone.

Sometimes people feel that they can buy a person. They feel that monetary or material gifts can make up for not spending time with the person but the're wrong. I would much rather have quality time (with a few gifts in between) than to have a bunch of gifts because you can't hug or talk to a nice pair of shoes, or a watch or cologne/perfume. When you spend time with me you are showing me that you are concerned about me and you love me.

I suffer from that as well. I used to do everything with my husband until we had kids. Now someone has to be home with the kids all the time and usually it is me. We have worked out a compromise as long as he stays home with me and we do things together on Saturdays he can go out on Friday night to a movie with his friends, and if we don't have anything like a party to go to or something on Sunday he can go for a bike ride or to a football game if he wants to. I always have the option to go out and do something as well on a Sunday and he will watch the kids. I don't take advantage of that a lot, but I do like to go to book sales. The bottom line is we have a compromise that works well for us.
