Windows XP SP3 - Anybody updated their XP to SP3!!!!

Yep i did this recently but i found nothing better than the previous one.Just there is the change in the theme of the windows.Now even it is with the vista look.So there are most of the features that are exactly same as that of the last one sp2.There is one change that i should think is somewhat better is the fast speed.Its speed is just little bit faster than the sp2.So i think it is better to install the sp3 now.

can tell the diferance it run the same more securety other than that it is basicly the same! (at least to the naked eye)

I did too and I can't tell the difference. I encountered a problem though when I did a fresh install using WinXP setup disc with integrated SP3(slipstreamed). My built-in plug-and-play audio did not function even when I updated its driver to the latest version. What I did was redo the installation using WinXP+SP2 and it work. I didn't even install the audio driver due to its being PnP. Maybe Its just this particular brand of audio, But I wouldn't dare using WinXP+SP3 again on fresh setup. I guest SP3 is choosy with driver like vista.

Also upraded my xp installation! Well I can say to you that you won't see nothing diferent by updating it but, SP3 as a few windows critical bugs fixed (you can't see them but they exist) also more protections against virus, hackers and worms!! My counsel is that you must install sp3 rc2!

i updated mine to tell you the truth i dont see the difference i guess its more secure really its just like any other update.

I don't have windows XP in my computer. I use windows vista. I have updated with SP1 and I think I don't see any differences between the old one. If I compare to XP, yes, there are many differences. Not just visual differences but also speed. XP is much faster than vista when performing file transfer.

I just update to XP3. Actually not update but restall the program. XP3 is not bad, more fast than before, recommand to you. try it

WOW! is there a service pack 3. I thoght microsoft stopped updating windows xp?

Yes, I updated mine and it's absolutely terrific. Well, not that you notice any real difference but, I have not had any problems with my system. I guess I know how to maintain it anyhow but all the same, it works for me!! Andrew
