just another way for the state to scam money from you or a way to show someone that you love them enough to love them through their hardest times??

How is getting tax breaks, power of attorney and "next of kin" rights a scam?
Marriage is not necessary to validate a commitment, but the legal rights that go with marriage can't be denied.

I can only speak for myself. I love being married to my hubby. He truly is one of my best friends. And we do love each other. And have seen each other through hard times. Plus we have had truly wonderful times. I can no longer imagine life without him. Marriage works for me.
