recently i discovered the audio books... and i'm becomming an addict to that... i mean.. i think audio books have a huge advantage over "paper ones": you can actually "read" or better said, listen to one but at the same time, you can go walk on the street or do any other physical activity. what do you think?

I really love to read books but it is also great to listen to audio recordings of books being read. Yes, I have a few tapes of books that I used to enjoy listening to. I would listen to them whilst traveling by bus or whilst walking along the road. I imagine that audio books are wonderful for blind people to listen to as well. These days I don't have a tape player anymore but I have a CD player. I listen to a Spanish language CD and find this very helpful. Book shops often sell audio books but they tend to be more expensive than paperback books.

audio are really helpful if you are trying to learn a different language. this is because you get to learn how to pronounce it. and makes you easy to learn the language.

I feel like I have a hard time listening and paying attention so I have never really tried to listen to an audio book. I hear great things about them from a lot of people, but haven't ever tried one myself.

I love audio books. I like listening to then while I lay in bed, or before I go to sleep. It makes me feel like a little kid getting a bedtime story. xD

I prefer to read a paper book because, I tend to zone out when I am listening to something as my mind starts to wander and, I really think having a book read to me would make me lose focus. Plus, I feel like reading is exercise for the mind.

Hi Where do you buy your audio books?I haven't actually bought any audio books for myself to listen to but my mother-in-law listens to them a lot. I was going to buy some for her from this site http://12106.leisureaudiosales.com/retail.cgi for her next birthday and Christmas. If you'd let me know how the prices and range stack up from where you get them, that'd be great.

I've never been interested in audio books as I'm more visually orientated so would get more from actually reading than listening. As for walking in the street I'd rather have music. Don't you find following the story a bit distracting when you're outside.
