* Follow sensible and healthy guidelines for eating and physical activity for achieving and maintaining healthy weight.
* Excess weight is caused by an interaction of genetic (inherited) and environmental (social and cultural) factors, which include metabolic (physical and chemical) and behavioral (psychological and emotional) components. Because of the complexity of weight loss, gain, and maintenance, women need to understand that a quick and effortless weight loss is worthless.
* As sedentary lifestyle is a significant barrier to successfully maintaining weight loss and preventing further weight gain, it is important to add more activity in your daily routine.
* Losing weight requires burning more calories than the body takes in, by either reducing caloric intake or increasing caloric expenditure, or preferably, both.
* Remember, achieving and maintaining even a modest amount of weight loss can reduce the severity of illnesses associated with obesity.
* Medical, pharmacological and surgical interventions may be options for women with more serious cases of overweight and obesity. These interventions, used in conjunction with a plan for healthy eating and physical activity, should be utilized in conformance with applicable treatment guidelines.

You need to do at least 1 hour of cardio every other day and then on the other days, build up your strength with the machines, this will help build muscle while burning the fat and calories the other days. I would suggest eating a lot of chicken, turkey and/or fish products. This will help a lot and then you might want to even think about building your metabolism up by eating at least 6 small meals a day. Put yourself on a specific calorie count per day and divide that in 6's. So if you wanted to take in 1500 calories per day you would eat 6 meals of 250 calories each meal 6 times a day.
If you try this out let me know how it works/ed for you.
Good luck with it!

u can try some of these:
1. Find ur fitness passion - exercise, do anything u enjoy that will keep u active for atleast 30 mins/day.
2. Eat immediately after a work-out, if u can.- ur body wont be able to recover if u dont eat and drink water w/in the hour and half after u exercise.
3. follow a low fat, high protein diet.
4. Be consistent - ur motiation should be strong enough to sustain u through laziness and pain. keep telling urself why and what u'r doing that to keep u on the track.

Drink 2 litres of water (avoid refregerated) early in the morning
Avoid fried food. Take lots of green raw vegetables or semi baked (preferably organic vegetables)
Avoid fat foods for a week or so. Eat less and eat at frequent intervals. Go for swimming 1 hour (morning or night) a day and 4 km walking everyday early in the morning. All the best and inform you whether you reduced your weight or not. My wife went to a professional institute to reduce her weight and paid 35000 Indian Rupees (1$ = Rs.50 INR). All they did is to explain the diet stated above which we both are doing for several years.

Do you think you are over weight? Recently there was an article in the news regarding there being a flaw in the BMI calculation. Many people who are not over weight are called so by the BMI chart.

If you are prepared to sacrifice eating spicy food, junk food, fried stuff, meat etc. for a week (may be you may have reduced in take of such foods permanently) you can reduce the weight.
Here are a few tips:
1. East fresh organic green vegetables, salads either in the afternoon or at dinner
2. Drink atleast 2 litres of water per day (it is Japanese therapy) - out of 2 litres, one litre in the monring.
3. Walk (brisk) for 5 KM a day
4. Swim at least 1 hour a day
5. Static cycling (medicum speed(500) or high speed 400)
