To check or not to check?

I do not allow anybody to view my e-mail, not even my wife. I have an alternative e-mail address though that is created for this specific reason. One will never know when the need arises.

It's a personal thing..So, i guess its not a right thing to do. To allow someone to check my email? For what? I have nothing to hide but...we are talking about a personal stuff in here. It's not my attitude to check other emails...what ah. I just had this experienced, My ex bf asked for the password of my email account..So, i asked him why you want my password? And he said, nothing just for incase..For incase? so..i gave it to him coz i trusted him and i got what he want trying to do..So inorder him not to think any something fishy...I allowed him. But the most i hated was he deleted some of my emails..And He changed the password. I confronted him that i didn't like what he did. So, for me its not a good thing to do to let someone else access your account. It will be that complicated.

I know what you mean it's kind of like someone opening your regular mail. I might let my husband do it, other than that I don't think I would let anybody check my emial it;s kind of an invasion of privacy.

The only person I ever let check my email is my husband. Its only if he ordered something online and they used my email address, he'll check it to see what the shipping status is, but now he has is own account, so we don't have to do that anymore too often. But other than that, I don't let anyone check my email.

Oh heavens no. I wouldn't want anyone else checking my mail because they wouldn't know what to do with it or make of it lol. I get mail everyday from several lists I belong to, from a couple of programs I belong to, all my mylot mails, and various other things. Mix in with that all the spam and junk mail. My email would make most people pull out their hair. I check it at various times during the day. If I go a day without checking it, I'm ready to pull my own hair out lol.

My husband and I have the passwords to each other's email accounts but we don't check. I wouldn't mind if he read mine, I wouldn't feel that my personal space has been violated, because he is the closest person in my life but I don't think I would feel the same way about anyone else reading it.

My systems are generally on 24x7, unless there is a major outage and the UPS has given out. My prominent email id accounts are always open. My kids have their own computers and if at all they want to check something in a hurry and don't have the time to switch on their systems, they do use mine, but I have never seen them pause even for a moment to see the type of mails that I get, they just sign out and log in to their own accounts. Sometimes, if they forget to sign off and leave their accounts open, I never check their mails, I just sign off for them and then log into my own account. We all trust each other and respect each other's privacy, we don't even check what is kept in each others cupboards and lockers. The only person who does check up our possessions is my wife, but that too to ensure that they are kept neat and tidy, not to check the contents.

Of course we have our own e-mail address and it's designed to be personal in nature. Like you, I prefer to keep my mail for myself. I don't have much spam mail like you but just a hundred. You have a couple of thousands, so it means two thousand. Anyway, good day to you!

I do not let anyone check my email. I also do not have anything to hide, but I feel it unnecessary for anyone to check my email.

I think I will because I have many mails that are important! I must check them so I can get some money! What about you ! Do you check them everyday ! And for waht?And why? can you tell me? what about you?

Hi! We have the same sentiment when it comes to personal stuff. They are personal because they are just that 'personal'. For me that means I only get to see what's inside it. Unless of course, with a personal favor or a personal invitation from me to another person then maybe I will let that person see some of my mail. This invitation is very rare and far between because I alone manage all of my internet stuff. Actually, I also manage some of my friends internet stuff like mail and grade updates, things like that. I have the upper hand since I have unlimited unternet connection and they dont have conencitons in they're home. With me managin their internet things, they actually get to save some expenses and recieve their needed information anytmie anywhere. I dont mind with playing 'housekeeper' wiht their mails. I dont really use them, I just check on them when they ask me to and I open it once in a while to prevent from expiring. Other than that I mostly keep to my own.

That kinda goes along the lines with the whole debate on wiretapping. But I hate it when people try to read my e-mail. This girl use to read it over my shoulder. Ugh!

I dont allow people to check my emailsssss i means its my eprsonall stuff my business transactions and all.. unless i cant get access to it.... i call up my boyfriend too.. his the frist i have trusted out of many of them since alot screwed me over witht hat email checking thingy
