My friends and I went to shopping last weekends. We ran into an outlet store. That place was great, I was surprised they have so much. But it takes a while to find things. It's not organized as carefully as a regular store.I had never shopped in an outlet before,so that was an amazing experience.
I bought six sweatshirts, one for my boyfriend, one for my brother ,one for my dad, two for my sisters, and one for me.
They were such a good deal, I really made the most of it while I was there.
I think it's a good idea to shop in an outlet sometimes. You can save a lot of money.
Sometimes a clothes company makes too many of one item.
They can't sell it all in their regular stores. So they send the overstock to an outlet. And they have faulty products here ,a "faulty product" may be a shirt that has some problem,or a pair of pants that is ripped a little.
Sometimes the fault is very small, so it's a good deal to buy it.Sometimes, if you have a needle and thread, you can fix it yourself. I like to sew, so that's easy for me.
I think it's a really good deal, some of those shirts have only one tiny mistake on them, don't you think?

Shops like that are brilliant and they do save a lot of money, ideal for if you have a lot of people to buy for. I find them good as I have four children and I am always needing clothes for them, it is neverending!!

I love outlet stores here in Australia we have big areas where lots of outlet stores open up in one big shopping centre, the one that is near me is so big i go there to do my walking exercise, it is like walking around a big square, they are wonderful...

I love going to the outlet stores also. We have several of them here in Pennsylvania. The biggest one is in Reading and they can be very addicting. I go there a few times a year because they are always having a sale. Sometimes you do have to be careful and keep an eye of the "seconds" the ones that are not good enough to go in their primary stores. You really need to look over them good to make sure the seams aren't too crooked or torn etc.. But, like you said , if it is not too bad you can fix it at home. I can get most of my holiday shopping done there and every time I go I always manage to buy for other people too.

Most times the clothes don't even have any defects, they just happened to be out of fashion or didn't sell out so well.
I like shopping at outlets, too but there is one big problem. Have you noticed how they usually are located out of city limits? At least, that's the way it is in my area. Yes,you can find tons of great stuff but you gotta look hard and dig for it. That might take a while and sometimes you don't find a thing you like. But then thinking about how much gas you spent to get there makes you sad..
Best of all to come with a bunch of people, that way you could all share a piece of advice and at least somebody will get something! :))))

Sounds like you got some awesome deals. I love outlet shopping. They have tons out outlets all over I-95. The one thing you need to keep in mind is the actal retail price of the item you are buying.
Some retail store actually mrk up some of their merchandise more than it would be in a department store. The shoppers think they are getting a great deal, when in reality they are paying more than they should.
I also like the items that just need a button or some small sewing project. I can sew as well, and you can save 20 or 30 dollars just by sewing a button back on.
I just try to keep the actual retail price in mind(I will admit this is easier for me, since I actually work in retail), and then make sure you are getting a good deal.

I have shopped stores like this from time to time most of my life. Some of them are definately worth the experience while some of them are still considered a little expensive still in my opinion. Back when I was growing up, I remember a store we used to frequent that always carried what were consider Factory 2nds for clothes, and it was always a treat to go there. I know there are still a couple of places like this around, but not like there used to be. I Love these type of places though personally, and always wonder what type of deals I will find there next.

I love outlet malls. I have shopped at them for years. The deals are amazing. I rarely ever find faulty products. Especially with the real high end stores, the tinyest flaw will disqualify it from being sold in a first run store.

Yup.. An outlet store is a place whereby u can get good bargains for clothings.. Like u say, it's due to overstock and old stocks that din sell well during the season.. haha
SOmetimes they also called that as warehouse sale.. hehe ^_^
But it's seldom to find faulty clothes, most of the time will be cant really find the right size as everybody are grabbing the clothes like it's free.. LOL

i do like it! because they are less cheaper and you can repair and adjust them yourselves. which is totally cost effective. i could really stretch my budget when i buy at outlet stores. and what is good is just like you, i can also buy for other people as well.

I have found a few nice things in an outlet store, but I have also been disappointed in some items I've purchased.
My best find was a pair of designer sunglasses for $20! I loved those sunglasses.
My worst find was a couple years ago I bought a pair of capris, they were so long they could have been pants! I still have them, but don't often wear them. If I do wear them I roll up the cuffs.

Jakarta now like bombarding by outler stores. Turn out these are very promising business. though maybe they didnot earn too many profit but if they had tons of customers they will do very well also.
I love outlet store. cause its big. Many choices and most of the times cheaper than usual store. I said most of time cause sometimes they sold goods that are expensive than other store. You just had to be careful. But outlet store usually had some crazy bargain. Like buy two get 1 free. or buy 1 get 1 free. Or now you can bought a TV or DVD player and pay 12 times without any interest with your credit card.

I completely agree, i was amazed myself when i first get to the outlet in Rome, it is so huge and so well organized, i spent there a wonderful day, which was not my intention. I was going to buy things i needed and leave fast, but what i saw made me enter each shop, try almost each thing. I always thought that the quality of products in outlets are worse than in regular stores, but i understood how wrong i was, i was able to buy Valentino most beautiful bag i ever saw only for 13 euro! I was also lucky to get there for sale season, and was really impressed how low the prices were. Now each time i hear or read the word "outlet" i am shivering of anticipation to get there, but so far my first experience was the most successful......Crazy shoppers, all in outlets! :)))

yes with the price of things these days, I shop in those stores when I get a chance to as well. You can save a lot, I love the outlet stores for shoes and winter boots you can get 200 shoes or boots for as low as 30.00 it is great.

I have shopped at outlet malls in the past, but its best if you are shopping for a specific item and there is a store dealing with it.. For me it is tennis shoes. The outlet mall is the one place I can go and find shoes that are wide enough to fit my feet. It can be a good place and they usually have some very good prices.
