What would you want to see if you were touring Washington DC?

xD
I went on a leadership program back in March.
We toured the capital and saw the monuments.
We even went on the floor of the congress

That is what I would love to do: tour Washington, DC. I have been through it on my way home from Florida when I was 11.

If I visit any city, I just like to take time to walk around the streets absorbing the flavour of the place. I guess that Washington DC is very car orientated and not that good for those on foot, but that's definately my favourite way of getting about. You see, part of my getting to know a city is getting to see the ordinary stuff and that is never in any of the tour guides!

what else is there? I don't know much about it, I guess if I was ever going to go I would look at a tourist site for Washington, D.C.

The Smithsonian and especially the Air and Space Museum are the two things I am glad I did not miss while there. I have always wanted to go during the spring time with the cherry blossoms are in bloom. I will do that soon, hopefully.

The different museums are great! It's been so many years since I've gone but when I did, it was so enjoyable to me that I'd love to go again some day. I grew up about an hour and a half from there.

Well, I live about 2 hours from there, so I've seen nearly everything. Let me see if i can come up with some original ideas.
My favorite places are Metro Station. Its an old train station that has been converted into a shopping center, it has restaurants, stores, and cafe's. I love just sitting there and people watching.
I also love the Air and Space Museum. There are so many cool exhibits there, and they rotate quarterly.
Ill have to think about this and get back to you. Two is the most I can come up with at the moment.

Hmmmm I guess all those things would be interesting to visit, but I have to be honest, Washington DC is not one of the places that I have thought about visiting. Not sure why.
