I am designing a dragon for one of my entries for our local fair. It's going to be approximately 36 inches tall and have wings that will be about 20 to 36 inches each in size. I want to be able to pose the wings but want the fabric to still be able to move with breeze. I want the edges and some of the area inside the wings to be flexible and poseable and I am not real anxious to use wire for making the wing form stiff yet bendable. I don't want to use glue either (I always seem to make a major mess when it comes to glue). I am going to be using a sheer iridescent fabric for the wings so that it really draws attention to the creation....does anyone have any ideas? I am hand felting the body of the dragon with various colors of wool so there will be a bunch of textures going on with the creation. I would really appreciate input! Thanks!!!
