With the current rising temperature, anything that is iced, chilled or cold is always welcome until we run out of ice at home.
Usually, we make ice-cubes using tap water. Nowadays, as ice is in great demand, we decide to make ice licking more exciting. We make "flavored" ice out of juices, freshly squashed from fruits.
Friends, what do you use to make your ice-cubes? Tap water, boiled water Or ?
What about adding some flavor to the ice? What do you use to make your ice-cubes more interesting?
Thanks for sharing

I make my ice cubes with normal tap water.
I think I tried using boiled water before but the effect was not too good.
I once thought of using flavored thingies too but it is too much of a bother - and because there isn't really any flavor I like my ice cubes in.

Go try it again.
If you use boiled water, while it might be "cleaner", the cubes somehow look less firm. Notice they will look clearer.

We usually use tap water to make our ice cubes. We haven't had a need for them for a long time as we buy bottled water and store it in our fridge, which seems to make them cold enough to drink.

Our ice maker hasn't worked in a while. So we now use ice trays. And tap water. Works out well enough. As long as we remember to fill the trays.

My daughter loves to make ice cubes out of her juice and then add it to seltzer water. As the juice ice melts it adds flavor to her seltzer. She's three and came up with this idea all on her own. Now her dad and I find ourselves using her juice ice as well.

..we have to use bottled water as out water is too rusty... when I was a kid we made "kool-aid" ice cubes or bought special molds for making homemade popsicles.. I should see if I can find some of those as our grand daughter likes popsicles!

well sometimes I make popsicles with ice cubes,I serve fruit on ice, but that is just regular tap water frozen, and I also use ice cubes for jello but that is about it.

We need extra iced and chilled stuff during hot sunny season so I have to make sure that there are enough ice cubes in my fridge. We use filter water to make ice cubes for chilling hot drinks like coffee and tea. Besides, there are cubes which are made from coca cola, pineapple juice and coffee or other drinks. Kids prefer the coca cola and chocolate ice-cubes the most to quench their thirst.

I"m afraid it was quite warm two weeks ago, but it hasn't been that nice since LOL But ice cubes... well like you we make them out of many different things. If I use water, I use tap water unless there is a known problem with it. Sometimes after I put the water I drop some fruit pieces in it, grapes usually look nice :)
Sometimes I make them out of fruit juice as well.
Sometimes, I puree fruits like mango or pineapple or even kiwi and put them in the ice cube trays and add to juices.
I even made milk cubes LOL my son drinks a lot of milk but when it's really hot even the milk from the fridge seems to not to be so cold. SO I have used milk in the ice cube tray and add to his milk so it's not watered down when the ice cubes melt:)

We usually make ice-cubes from boiled water. But my son likes to make them in fruit juices with funny shapes.
