Freedom, which is harmful to others is certainly not a freedom. But freedom is required to every human beings to built personality, and such freedom are the basic human rights which every democratic nations permits, for instance, freedom of speech and press.

this response is to dengshengtong, freedom is not defined by a group of men and women for the whole country as it is in china. in china you can be executed(killed) for just about anything you do wrong. freedom is the ability to critisize the government or a group of people by the virtue of your opinion. freedom is the ability to achieve your own goals and dreams as defined by your ability and not the standards of other people. yes, everyone wants to be free, i have found freedom in a relationship with God and his only son JESUS CHRIST.while i don,t try to force this on others the way communist party members do their "beliefs", i do try to share with others the freedom i have found. i am living the life i always wanted to live without fear and oppression. GOD loves you and does not hate you.
