updates for windoes xp

does anyone know why my pc downloads updates automatically but wont install them i have to search for each update by its number on the windows xp update site and then download them and install them manually.its really annoying!

Probably one of your update before is corrupted, do a scan disk then clean your registry, temporarily turn of auto-update, just set it to "download update but prompt you to install. This way you'll know what update is successfully installed and you don't have to download them individually.

it wont install any unless i download them indiviually and install them manually
