asthma testing

My asthma has been getting worse over the years, so I asked my doctor to refer me to an asthma clinic. So far I'm very impressed wiht the doctor! I've gone for a pulmonary test and next I go for a "medical induction test". (I think I remember the name correctly.) They will cause me to have an asthma attack in a laboratory setting so they can measure the changes in my lung capacity. I know it's safe because they will be doing it in a medical facility, but I'm still a little bit nervous. Has anybody ever had this kind of testing done before? Anything you can share about the experience?
