We like to watch this tv game show Deal or no Deal with host Howie Mendell, but last night was special since they started their tour around the world and guess where's the first place they went? well, in my home country, the Philippines.. i don't want to miss last nights telecast since i miss watching filipino tv shows and also the people there. i thought they will have a filipino who will play the game since it will be in the Philippines but they have somebody from here in US and they are still giving away dollars not pesos. You know why i just thought about that?well, just for those who don't know, we have the exact same game in the Philippines but they are giving away 1Million in pesos, thats the currency there. anyway, it is nice to see how the game went through.. the 1st guy player was so lucky to go home with more than a quarter of a million, for what i remember it's $275,000 but guess what? when they open his case, he has $750,000, he quit early since he don't want the offer to go down if he opens the half million and the $750,000. well, i can say that he's still lucky and safe smart cause he took the guaranteed money of $275,000 cause sometimes when we keep on going we don't get so lucky, i seen some game player who went home with hardly anything. if i am the player i won't risk it a good deal if my board doesn't look good and i don't have any safety at all. i think in this game if you want more, you lose more! it's just better to play it safe and smart. how about you? do you watch deal or no deal? what will do if you're a player of this game? would you go all the way to get the 1million or you'll take the deal? share your thoughts friends.

It's a fun show. I love watching it when I can, even I start participating at home by yelling out numbers. I think it's a good way to earn a little extra cash. I know some get scared and bail out early, but hey 250,000 is good money. If I had that much I could live happy and with more ease. If the deal was that much I would take it, but if I was braver, which I can be at times, I'd keep going.
You know I once saw the show and the girl was offered 499,000 dollars! she didn't take it, she wanted to go on, guess what? She only won what was in her case, which was 5 dollars. Sad, but I think I'd take the deal on the big numbers. Even if I had more in the case.

I guess so rockvixen, i will take the money if the deal is quarter of a million cause we don't know what's in our case and that's guaranteed money. i'll be real happy to even reach that amount. $275,000 is a lot of money and there's a lot of things you can do with it. i always wish i can join this game.. hehehe..

Hi claire03! I do like the show too but of course, I am watching the Filipino version with Kris. If ever I am the player and the bank has offered me a quarter of a million, and the ones that are left are a million and another which is only a hundred bucks. I think I will "Deal" and go home with the quarter of a million for I might end up with just a hundred bucks. Sometimes, it is alright to just quit and deal! I don't want to get greedy and lose it all. Just my thoughts dear friend. Take care and have a nice day!

"Deal or no Deal" is our favorite game show.My daughter and I love Howie. He is so cool.I loved it the other night when they were in the Phillipines. It is nice to see how other cultures live.Their show was louder as Kris Acquino said. The show is already a lot of fun hear in the United States, but it does seem that they have more fun in the Phillipines with the dancing and singing.
If I were a contanstant on there I suppose I would look at it this way.I would keep the game going till it got down to where it was totally obvious that I was getting no where. After all I came in there with nothing, whatever I leave with will be more then I have now. Therefore I should be grateful for given the opportunity, meeting Howie, going to place where the show is and getting what I get.

was last night the first game in the series around the world? my kids and hubby really like this game and enjoy watching it on tv. any ideas where they are going to to next? shows that travel around are cool because they show you a little bit of stuff from different areas that you would not normally see.

yes Mirita, that is smart and that's what i would do to, it just really depends on what you have left on the board, sometimes it's not smart to think we have a big number on our own case. i just will be happier to go home with more money.

we have the same show here in malaysia, our own local host, giving out our own local currency.
but we dont give up to a million.. no sponsor is willing, i guess.
our biggest cash prize would be Rm 100 thousand...
and that is still a lot.. maybe not enough to buy a house, but still you can do a lot with that amount of money...
i think the biggest winner so far has won Rm 25-thousand, and the smallest winner Rm 10..
i still call her a winner because.. she came in with Zero Money.. and still went home with something, even if it such a small amount... (enough to buy herself a small pizza..)
if i were to play the game.. i wont mind quiting halfway if the money offered is good.. i dont mind if i dont get the biggest amount.. so long as i win something.

My DVR only recorded the last half of the Philippines show. That was wild, especially when the contestant ate a duck embryo to add $10,000 to his offer.
If the offer was less than $100K, I might be tempted to keep going if at least three of the six-figure amounts and/or the million remained. When I played the home version (before it got changed) I'd stop if the offer got down to around $40K. In real life, that would wipe out all my debt and leave me with about 16-18 months worth of my current salary.

I would take any deal that had three digits! I would not risk it. I know I could end up with more money if I kept playing but no matter what I would be walking out of there with more money than I walked in there with.

hi there! i'm from the Philippines too. yeah it is a great show! and Kris Aquino hosts it very well. it's really quite nerve-wracking when those brief cases are being opened by those pretty girls because you never know what will come out. but if there is already a big amount and i'm the one who's playing, i would choose deal already. because you will never know what's in that briefcase. better to be safe than sorry.
