What meals do you make as a family?

Naturally it is not feasible for the whole family to cook everynight, but when we do it is fun for all. In my home a favorite is taco night. I do the prep work, no minors using sharp knifes here, but the taco assembly proccess is a family proccess. Everyone loves it and can add just the right amount of everything for their tastes. Pizza is another fun family meal. I mix the dough prior to calling the kids in, then let them kneed the dough, press it and top it. I'm curious what other dishes can get the whole family involved?

My kids love to help make breakfast foods. Sometimes we eat it for dinner instead of breakfast. Pancakes is a favorite to cook. The older children can measure the ingredients and even the youngest likes to help stir. They love to help make desserts such as chocolate chip cookies too.

Thank you for your thoughts! My kids enjoy breakfast for dinner too!! You bring up a good point with the cookies, that reminded me of all the extra things they do around the holidays. My kids are the official household cookie decorators. :)

I try not to cook too much junk food and i try to cook as much as possible from scratch, my kids don't like veg much but i do so they have to eat a little or they don't get pudding. I don't eat meat so cooking vegan is hard sometimes even though there is a lot of vegan dishes out there now. Vegan sausages are fav for my three children and cabbage and carrots is soemthing they don't like a lot.

The big "family cooking" meals would be tacos, calzones and chicken caeser salad night oh and bbq nights...Then there are the nights when my daughter helps me out rather than the family doing it...She's also made complete dinners for the family on her own.

Am a working father and single parent but I do cooking whenever am at home. Dining together with the kids is a very special time for bonding. I used to ask from them about what they want for lunch or dinner. We discuss the recipe and enjoy their addendum. I do the cooking and my kids enjoy watching and asking some queries. Its really fun and wonderful...
