So how do you clean yours? Mine has a few little specks on it of food (I don't know how in the world they got there!)..so do you use a wet rag or what?

Sometimes I use Endust and other times a vinegar and water mix. I find that using plain water doesn't do much except streak the screen. I do smoke so the screen gets that nasty film on it and needs to be cleaned regularly. I get those spots also but don't know what they are from or how they got there unless it's nicotine.

I don't have a flat screen. My monitor is old. At times it looks like some of the finish is coming off. I have sneezed with food in my mouth over the years but always turned my head....lol You might call a computer store to find out if they suggest a special cleaner.

I like to spray Windex on some Q-tips, and run them over the keys, in the nooks and crannies. Turning the keyboard over and shaking it over a towel also helps get anything out. And it is surprising to me how much stuff comes out.

to clean my keyboard i get that air in a can from staples and spray it on the keys to keep the dust away. i also use it to clean the hard drive and the printer. i tried it on my speakers to see if the reason we have "chipmunks" in them is because there is dirt but nope, we still have them inside. we even got new speakers but nothing worked. the computer is brand new so it is not the computer doea anyone here know how to fix this problem

I usually just use a clean cloth to wipe out the screen. There are also times when I really turn off the monitor just in case

Yes, a damp cloth with water will just do. Are you saying little specks inside you screen? If that so maybe its not specks of food.

I am not sure what the cloth is made of, it is just a square, soft cloth. Sorry I can't be of further help about the cloth.

The computer is use is a so called gift from my husband on one valentine's day. I say so called, because though I use it, for every practical reason, he still happens to be the paranoid owner! Always fussing about what to doownload, what not to, what site to open, when to take a back up and when to let it go on an auto standby, someone would think, he's a geek !! So I never clean the computer screen and when he points out that I have been lazy, I simply say it belongs to him and so he better clean it up !!

To clean the screen I use a soft piece of cloth. Sometimes, I eat while I'm on the computer, so I had loads of crumbs in my keyboard. What I did was to take off all the keys and clean it with a vacuumcleaner. If ever take of the keys, take a picture or something like that of your keyboard before you do it, so you know exactly where to put them back on.

Very good idea to take a picture. I am sure if I didn't I wouldn't get them back on the right way.

jillhill my monitor is fairly new and was a gift so with it were these cleaning cloths saturated in some chemical . I use those as they are soft and clean really efficienty without scratching the surface of my led monitor. I love this monitor so am not going to take any chances of scratching its surface. its thin screen and light weight and the bigger screen are so heavenly I can just not praise it enough. You can get these cloths that are made just for monitors at any electronics store.

Well, I generally only clean my screen while the computer is turned off. I just don't like taking chances. I use glass cleaner and a soft cloth.
