I used to think chess is a very slow game, players spend hours on a move,so I didn't like it. But I was wrong.Chess players move quite quickly. They usually take only a minute or two for a move.I started playing chess when I was at college.I was distracted then,so I need something to concentrate, one of my friend suggested me play chess. Now I love this game,it helps you thinking and it need patience to play. What's your favorite game? What's so good about it?

My favorite board game is Trivial Pursuit. I like games like this. My favorite card game is Skip-bo. My favorite videogame is Luxor 2. I play this and Bejeweled 2 on our XBox 360 at night before bed. Focusing on these games helps relieve my anxiety so I can fall asleep. I guess I have a lot of "favorite" games!

I have a few favourites, monopoly is one I enjoy trying to make myself rich, I like Ludo which is a good family game where you have to get all your pieces around the board and home before anyone else. The other game I like is with cards, patience, I like to play this as I can play it on my own and it is nice to play a game on my own now and then.

I like a good game of checkers. It's so fun, especially online, but I hate it when you're winning and the other players quit. Where is the fun in that?

I play Chess almost everyday in Yahoo games and i to make the game very interesting i don't want to set the timer too long. I used play against others only using 3 minutes times winning by check-mate or timer it's all very exciting.

I like chess but I haven't played it in a while. It definately does require patience and strategy. I have a few favourite games: - poker - monopoly - Cranium - it is is like pictionary, it also has charades, quiz questions, scultping of clay, and spelling - great game to play with friends, it is quite funny, trying to watch people sculpt something when they are blindfolded.

I'm not sure if you've ever heard of a board game called Malarky? I found this is the greatest game ever invented. It's a game where you need more than two players but well worth it's play. You have to lie about the meaning of words. My favorite online game no longer exist now one was on pogo.com, it was called word riot and the other one was called aracnaphobia, and they give you three or four letter and you have to make sentences for it and the other players vote not knowing who said what and if you're voted for the most you win that round.

I find chess boring and frustrating - I like scrabble and sudoku. I like games that challenge my mind.

Table-top Dungeons and Dragons! I didn't learn to play until I was almost 30, after meeting my husband. He's never grown out of it. In fact when I met him he was dressed in a tuxedo on his way to play a Vampire larp (live-action role play). It's really hard to find a good group to play with though. The dynamics have to be just right for it to be enjoyable. And these days a lot of players have become very lax about the rules, being satisfied with, "What the game master says goes." But I think the formal rules provide some necessary structure. Without them you're just a room full of grown-ups sitting around playing make believe. There's no strategy to it, and whether you're successful or not only depends on how much the guy running the game likes you.

My favorite game is also chess (the same as you)! I just love this game because you need quite a lot of thinking and strategizing skills to be able to win the game. I guess when you said that players move quite quickly in chess, you are referring to people playing for fun and socializing. In these conditions, yes, players usually move quite quickly to save time and because there's nothing much lo lose really. But in real competitions, for example between grandmasters of chess etc., where there is actually something at stake, the players will take longer time to think and move because one wrong move can determine winning or losing a game. Chess grandmasters have the level of insight that they can predict many moves ahead of the current position on the chessboard (that's the beauty of chess ). For me, I've taken part in many chess competitions in my life and the pinnacle of all these is my experience of representing my school in the state competitions. I fared quite OK, but certainly not among the top players. But still, it was a good experience. Since a lot of time was given per move, I took longer to think and make my moves, and I did less mistakes than I usually do when I play at normal fast speed. Geez, I'm ranting on and on here, but I hope that my post more or less answers your question. Have a good day and keep up the passion for chess, the game of all games!
