new kids on the block

I'm really excited and I'm hoping they come here because I would love to do what I never got a chance to do back in the day and that's see them in concert . My sister Vicky, my friends and I were all major fans of theirs and I can remember in the summer we would sit outside with the radio on loud and sing their songs and even dance to their music. Sure, some may think they are corny now but I bet these are the same people who loved them back then but would never admit to it but THEY KNOW WHO THEY ARE, THEY KNOW....

I find this amusing beyond belief. I saw something about this a few weeks ago and at the time I figured it had to be some publicity stunt. As it turns out I was semi-right. It is a publicity stunt, but they really are getting back together. I was a little too young for the first round, I was about 7 in 1989 during their heyday. I'll be interested to see how much(or how little rather) of an impact they will make now. I find this absolutely ridiculous. They weren't all that impressive to begin with. I bet Ron Pearlman is dancing in his shoes. He will still get a cut of everything they make this go-round too, since he owns the license to the NKOTB logo and name. I'll admit to liking one of their songs. I never really did like Step by Step, but I loved Cover Girl(sung almost entirely by Donny Wahlberg). I'm not sure what I was totally obsessed by that song, but I could have listened to it for hours when I was like 10. I think I've totally embarrassed myself now...onto another topic...

AS "dorky" as everyone thinks it is I am so excited they are back. I don't think I will be able to afford to see them live though :(

Is this true? OMG! I was in my first year in high school when they came here in the Philippines for a concert. That was 17 years ago! Brings back memories.

I actually can't believe they are trying to stage a comeback...at any price, I'm sure. I used to love NKOTB, but that doesn't mean I will be excited about anything they come out with. I'm sure they're doing it for the new kids in 4th and 5th grade. We'll see how that pans out.
