Do you pay or do you eat?

Since its a buffet, I would just take a small amount of each food and taste it all and then go back to get the foods that taste the best that I know that I will eat. We don't have to pay a penalty for not eating all the food on our plates that we get at a buffet restaurant in my town [that I know of anyway]. But if we did, I would take very small amounts of food and go back if I wanted more to avoid that problem.

Of course I'd prefer eating multiple small portions of various types of food that the buffet offers. But if I happened to take too much food, and there was a penalty fee for wasting food (though I've never experienced such a thing, personally), I would probably wait it out. There's no time limit for staying in a buffet, right? (If I wasn't busy myself, that is.) I would wait until I was partially done digesting; I would drink it all down with water and just relax for a bit. Then, once my stomach has partially digested all the food I had eaten, I would continue eating the over-supply of food so as not to waste it or not to pay the penalty fee. Yes, I know, I sound cheap this way.

me and my wife loves eat all you can, specially on those years that we dont have a baby yet. but i only get what i can eat. i come back if i want to eat more but i make sure i only get what i can eat. my wife does that too. if there is a recipe there that looks foreign to us we only get a small portion and just come back for more if we loved it.

Take home whatever you can't finish. Eat it later and get your money's worth.

I'd rather not pay. :P Most of the time, I dont eat for the whole day if I know I'll be going to eat in a buffet restaurant. I want to get my money's worth. Haha!
