My baby keeps getting BIT! This same little boy bites her at daycare almost everyday. I have decided to stop taking her to this particular daycare provider...But I havent told her yet!! Has this ever happened to anyone else? What should I tell her!?!?

This sort of thing amazes me. So many things like this happen with day "care" providers all the time and yet people still think they are better off working instead of looking after their kids! Tell her exactly what has happened, file a report if you can. It is a case of neglect. If the woman was actually looking after your child, your baby wouldn't have been bitten in the first place. Take photos of the bite marks as evidence.

I dont think taking your kids to Day Care is wrong...I know things like this happen and it is partly the parents fault as well. They should teach their child that biting is wrong! But if she is continually getting bit then one child needs to be taken out of the equation and its going to be mine! I just dont know how to tell her that.

Have you talked to the daycaremanager about this problem. They have to watch them and tell them what is wrong or wright.

Well this isnt a daycare facility. Its just a lady that does daycare out of her home. And i JUST found another bit mark...that is three in two days. That is bit excessive. I dont understand how this boy would get the chance to bite my child twice in one day if she were paying attention!

When my son was about 6 weeks old, I took him to daycare so that I could go back to work. He was only there a couple of days when he came home with a ring of teeth marks around his nose. At that time they had toddlers in the same room, and one of them had decided to chomp on my baby. I talked with the director. She made arrangements to keep the toddler group mainly in the gym during the day until they could set up a room for them without having them in with the babies. After that I had no problem. However, I did work in a daycare facility myself for awhile, and I know how difficult it is to keep a biter from biting the other children. You can't watch every child every minute, and things happen, especially at the toddler age. When the problem got too bad, we had to ask the parent to make other arrangements.

I just think by age 4 or 5 they should know not to bite! Thats not really a toddler anymore. I dont know maybe I am wrong but I just get so upset...thanks for responding!

This actually happened to my sister's son. He was constantly getting bit or hurt at daycare. She would file a complaint but nothing would ever come of it. She finally stopped taking him there when he was rushed to the ER from getting hit in the head with a chair and knocked out briefly. She basically told them that she didn't feel that they were providing enough supervision for the kids and she felt it to be in her and her son's best interest to find another provider. Good luck
