Waking up to Mylot

Hi! Thats really nice of you to rate all of your respondents to discussions you've started. I do that too, but then again I dont start that many discussions. I jsut respond to those that dont have any discussions or if and when the discussions on that page doesnt seem to interest me that much or maybe I cant relate then I go to the 'discussions form my interest page' and browse to find and possibly respond to those discussions that have only 1 or very few reponses. Thats how I spend my time ehre in myLot. Yeah, I agree with you that it is nice to fnid your inbox full of otehr peoples responses or comments. I dont really check my mail first thing when I connect to the internet. The first thing I usually do is to log in to myLot and see whats new in the site, namely the discussions, news, and posts. Congratulations on having lots of responses. I only get a few when I start one and it really is nice to know that someone cares enough to bother responding to your discussions.^_^

I always get my responces sent to me. There sometimes will be 150 emails in my inbox strictly from mylot. That gets anoying sometimes, but hey I asked for it. Normally I just delete them all, and then go on mylot and post the responces and then mark them. After i get up to about 75 in my inbox my account automatically puts all other emails from that site in my bulk mail, so that is pretty cool. Either way i love the resonces, and love answering them, i could live w/o the junk mail though lol.

my inbox is always full with email notifications, I love it that way as well. It is great, and I never end them, they just keep coming in. It is a lot easier than going on the site to try and find them.

Yup...somotimes if I start a good discussion I have alot! Glad you are getting responses to your discussions!

I turned off the notificatins right from the day I started mylotting. A mail notificatin for every reply make me sick. I always rate the posts which are having relevant responses. I think rating every ost can be a time-consuming process.

I go back forth on this subject as well. I have only been on here a week, so it hasn't thoroughly annoyed me yet enough to do away with the messages. I like knowing that people have responded to discussions that I have started, that way I can go back and find the cooment easily to commen back. The downside to this is when you have hundreds of discussions. Right now I only have a few because I just started all of this, but have many notfications do you get if you have sevreal really popular questions. I think I may just do away with the notifcations soon and just look through my disussions when I sign on. I have a hard enough timre trying to go through my email without My Lot. The fact that im obviously interested in whatever topic I commented on to begin with should be enough for me to go back and look. I also like to go back and rate and respond to them, but I think Im just going to have to remember to do it myself as opposed to getting 20 emails a day.

thats the only way I do it have notify on. and yup I get alot of emails . But I do think some people have them off for I dont hear a word from alot on my friends list and I have accepted several new friends and not heard a word so I just know they havent got notify on.

I know sometimes its like wholey cow my mail box is too full ill never catch up. But its an addiction and well you just gotta do it. I love mylot way too much.

that happens often. I don't mind that just means i am going to make some nice mylot money for that day. i just try to stay on top of my personal post and make sure i get back to everyone. i think of it as hopefully some great topics by friends and people thought enough of my post to respond.

I don't get email notifications of responses to my mylot discussions. I do get some notifications for today's top discussion but not on responses to my mylot discussions. I also get notified if I get a private messages, if my friendship request is approve and if I get a best response. I guess I need to update my preferences so I get notifications also if someone responses to my mylot discussions. I like reading their responses and I usually give comments. This is a good a feature of mylot. You don't have to go to their website to check how your discussions are doing. Keep up the good work.

After about my first week on mylot I turned all my notifications off. Now I just get the digest which I thought I had also turned off and will check into. I get so much email in all of my accounts that getting so many more from here would make me crazy!

Yeah, I always check my email every single day now. I find emails from mylot, regarding everything. It is because I have been mylot every single day now. My aunt has been on it every single day, too. She has more than 100 posts a day. I always enjoy being on mylot all the time.

For some reason I am not getting notifications even though I requested them. I could see how they could get over whelming though.

I created a separate email account for mylot only because I know that I would get flooded and I love checking and responding to all of them as much as I can.

i think most of the days i get so many notification when i login to my mailbox. actually i get for responses to my discussion, discussion started by some friends, best response etc. i also feel nice as there are so many.

My inbox used to stay full all of the time until I made a separate folder to put all of my discussions in. Now, all I have to do is keep putting them into a folder and go to the folder to go through them and check them. I hated having my mailbox full every day so this was the best way for me to do it.

Yup sometimes mind you I don't start as many discussions but its nice to get responses to them. I always go into them and reply to every response (well try to depending on how many there are) and then rate them all.

That just means that you have mad people that have read what you have to say and had comments to what you are talking about. That was almost the case for me this morning. I had at least 5 but not a whole mail box full. I answered all of them except 2 i didn't agree with the comment so i didn't answer the comment. So that is a good thing. Keep up the good work. Yes I have a full inbox everyday. I read my e-mail a couple times a day just to keep up w/ them. I don't mind it either and try to answer the ones that I can. I went to take a nap today for I worked last night I read and cleared my inbox befor I went to lay down. I woke up and there was 2 full pages of e-mails just from mylot discussions. LOL I now will go through and respond to what I can of those that started new discussions that were in my e-mail.

I waiver back and forth as to whether I should turn the notifications off. On one hand, as you say between this site and another one, I get 200 emails a day just up people's updates, but on the other hand, I actually do miss the updates of I turn them off. I think I am just going to turn them off, then use my discussions to go back and rate people. Ill try that for a day or two and see how it goes...
