good idea for a new computer and how to move music

the computer im using now is like 5 years old and is standing on its last legs so to speak....and ive been looking around for a good computer and realized im not sure what im looking for....i really only use it for typing papers and doing reearch, checking myspace facebook and using itunes and maybe playing games from time to time. what would be a good computer for the job? any OS will work
and also..when you get a new computer how do you transfer all your purchased music from itunes without burning them all to cds? thank you for your responses in advance

Hi there,I just want to ask if the computer you're going to replace is a Desktop computer or a Laptop?
You need to know how much you're budget first before you choose a new computer because it is where you're going to based all the available computer choices available in the market.
For transferring your purchased music,usb drives are usefull,just plug it to your new computer,copy and paste all the files that you want to transfer to your new computer then copy and paste again to the new destination.

If you are looking for a laptop... Dell Inspiron 1525 is great. It does all the things that you want to do...I bought mine for only $2600 And as for the music... Buy an 8GB pendrive at a PC fair for only $150... transfer all your songs to your pendrive...and paste it in the new computer.
