My daughter just called me from school and informed me that she is now officially graduated from high school! Wooohoooooo! I'm so happy! And so very proud! She'd only had the one credit to go to complete the credits required, and she worked on it last night and turned the packet in this morning. So now all we have to concentrate on is getting her ready for the graduation ceremony. I guess I'd better call the hair dresser and give her fair warning! LOL! Thanks everyone for letting me brag so much. I can't believe my baby is out of high school now! Hugs to all!

Well done! I am so happy for the both of you, Carryl. That is something to be proud of.
Are you both gonna get all dressed up for the occasion? I didn't get to see my daughter walk for graduation. She did her GED and decided not to do the graduation ceremony.
Tell her *Congrads!* from all of us. And 'job well done'.

I know my daughter is wanting to go and get a new dress, plus the nails, plus the hair! As for me, I just might surprise everyone and get a dress myself. I usually have a major allergy to dresses and don't wear them...not even to church. LOL!

Congratulations to you and your daughter. You've got a right to brag, as it's your duty as a mom. It's wonderful that she can take the summer off, before starting college. What will she be studying?

She is enrolled in English Standards 3, and Algebra. She's taking the basic classes that she had a hard time with in high school, plus that's what they put her in because of the assessment test. She eventually wants to get into some field that has to do with taking care of animals.

Thanks for getting back to me. I wish her all of the best, and hope that her dream to work with animals comes true someday.

Congratulations to your daughter, my friend, and indeed, to you, for supporting her through her school years. I can feel the warmth of your pride from here, and my guess is, she's equally as proud of her Mum.
I know it's gonna cost you for the graduation ceremony as my granddaughter has her Proms on Friday this week. She has a suit for the daytime ceremony, and a beautiful evening dress for the party, which will take place on a River Thames Cruise Boat. She's having her hair done between the two, and she looks very grown up, at sixteen years old!
Brightest Blessings from a proud grandmother to a very proud mother! Enjoy, my friend. x

You're welcome, my friend. I suppose we carry the expense at times such as these... it's only once in a lifetime, and should be a day which you can both remember... something like one's wedding day, I suppose, although some of us like to forget that after time!

Congratulations to your daughter and your family....I couldn't be more pleased for you and I can imagine how thrilled you are.
Here in Australia, we n't 'graduate' from High School. Kids can leave after Year 10 and get a job or go and do furhter study to get a trade. Or they can do Years 11 and 12 which hopefully will see them pass with a grade good enough to get into their desired uni course. The celebrations come when Uni ids finished. How many years does it take to finish High School?

Hello Katlady, a big congratulations from me to you. Though I'm not yet married and certainly not a dad yet, ha..I would love to have this kind of sentiments that you are feeling right now. I suppose you are ecstatic and jubilant in your daughter's achievement and it shows just how good a parent you are.

Congratulations! What a milestone this is in both her and your lives. Now is the time in their lives when you have to hope that they've retained all that you have taught them, and stand back and let them go out on their own. (But don't stand so far back that you're not there to catch them when needed!)

A big congradulations I bet you are proud to see your daughter has made it and is graduateing. She now can move on to bigger and better things. Does she have any plans to go to college and take up anything she desires to do in life? I wish her the best of luck in all that she may do. Congradulations once again.
