Do you someday want to get a partner only to have a partner?

I'm just curious about the reasons people have to get a partner.I hear many times people saying that want to get a partner for many reasons, money, make the house work, all the friends have a husb/wife or partner and they want to have too, etc. So I'm curious about that. In ours days people looking only in the practical way?

there are some people doing that. and that's a scam..but there's a scammer in both side. Either your partner also what something on you.having partner really is not really mean,you want to have a partner. for me it means when you need a partner. When your partner need you and your partner got what you need,that's all that makes it work.

Hi jimncha. I agree. But live together have two sides: you give and you receive it is the right thing I think. It not mean that the partner is selfish. But if one of two want only get (the cases I mentioned above)he/she don't want to give nothing. This way it don't work I think. Of course if you have a partner you expect something in return if you give also. None want only to give ever. It is my opinion.

Yeah most of the time, i have seen people getting married for the exact same reasons you have mentioned above. But i didnt get married for that, just the fact that i love him and wanted to be with him, committed for the rest of my life....

The only reason I want to have a partner in life is to have someone to grow old with and stay in love. Cheers!

Not everyone gets married or gets into a committed relationship purely for practical reasons. Personally, I just wanted someone to love who would love me for who I am and not try to push his own agenda onto me. I'm sure there are people out there who just want a wife or husband, but most people just find someone that they want to spend the rest of their lives with and then they do it.
