More and more people are going to work on a hangover. On in three employees has arrived suffering the after effects of alcohol while one in ten has been drunk at their desk, a survey says. Nearly all admit it affected their performance. The worst culprits are media performers followed by construction workers - according to the Norwich Union Healthcare study.
So have you ever turned up for work abit worse for wear?? Did it affect your working performance?? Did you just want to roll home and climb into bed??

oh yes, i have had my share of those nasty hangovers and i still experience them every now and then if i am out the night before drinking with some friends and there is work the next day. i try to survive the day until i get home dive into bed with a good snore and hoping to wake up the next day refreshed.

i've had these moments. going to work. taking calls and then snoring at the phone. i know it's rude. i just can't help it. like what we call center people say.. "we work hard.. we party harder." so.. nevermind that we're gonna go to work.. drunk, wasted and dirty. haha. don't get me wrong.. this kind of behaviour is not allowed at work.. it's just a matter of who you know inside the company.. you know what i mean?

I'm not much of a dranker like that; i can't take the hangover feeling of my head about to blow up. I didn't know that people went to work drunk like that or left over from the night before of drinking. There will be more of that the way tha the economy is going right now in the us. The next thing we will have workers that have been fired going back to their jobs and shooting the co workers because of getting laid off.

I'm a bartender and it comes with the territory. Like I always say you play you pay...Of course with a hangover you don't feel like doing anything but money is always good too.

I only did it once and I felt so ill it was a nightmare. It does affect a persons performance there is no doubt about it, plus I just felt so rough all day and at the time I was on a 12 hour shift and every minute was agony. It must have been the most longest day of my life. I heard this somewhere today about the amount of people who go into work under the influence, it is pretty bad statistics.

I persoanally don't drink but I know of some people that show up to work and yet they still look like they are drunk. I can notice there performance drops for they are slow and not up to par. I'm sure they wish they could just go home but can't they just have to work it off and get some water or gadorade in them. Some people that work for construction sites or have to work in high ares such as roofers need to be careful for when they are like this they can cause them selves seriouse injuries for not being all there in mind while doing their job.
