What decides your major ?

well, graphic design is good too. I know that nursing brings a lot of money but graphic design makes a lot of money too. If you like it and become a professional in it, i think i would make you as wealth. good choice and keep going.

I have already graduated from college but my major was Fashion Merchandising. My senior year of high school I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I had narrowed it down to 2 things I really loved. Geology and Fashion. Obviously those are two different ends of the scale and I was really distraught over the decision. my best friend's mom helped me out a great deal. She asked me what I really wanted out of my career. Did I want to be known for some discovery, or would I rather have perks, like free clothing and going to fashion shows. Well that made the choice sound relatively easy. I am now a fashion buyer for a major department store, and I love my job! I bascially get to shop for a living. Now I have the free time in the off-season(summer) to dig for rocks and vacation. Choose what you love to do, not what people tell you is a good career. I'm assuming they are saying that because of the money. But as a graphic atrist, you can get many differnt side jobs for smaller companies and individuals that will keep your interest in what you love, and earn you some extra money.
