I really like this cookie called Mexican wedding cakes. I don't care for pecans so I used walnuts.
INGREDIENTS:
* 1 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
* 3/4 cup powdered sugar
* 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
* 3 cups flour
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 cup pecans, chopped, roasted (see below)
* An additional 3/4 cup powdered sugar to roll cookies in
* An additional 1/4 teaspoon salt
PREPARATION:
Add butter, powdered sugar and vanilla to a large mixing bowl. Mix at medium-high speed until completely mixed. In a seperate bowl, mix flour and salt. Mix the flour into the butter about 1/2 cup at a time until well incorporated. Carefully fold in the nuts.
Take a small amount of dough and roll it into a one inch ball. Continue and place the balls on a lightly greased cookie sheeet, about 2 inches apart.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes. Mix additioanl powdered sugar and salt. Roll the warm cookies in powdered sugar.
Roasted Pecans-
Place pecans on a cookie sheet and bake in a 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes.

That sounds like a great idea to make cookies like that for a wedding. I would definitely agree upon this subject. For a birthday party, I will definitely look up recipes online to look for homemade cookies to make. Then get them prepared for a birthday party this summer.

My favorite kind is chocolate chip. I have never tried chocolate chip banana before! It sounds like it would be good to try. I will have to check out a recipe for it sometime. I am not that great with baking cookies for some reason (they always turn out harder than I'd like), but chocolate chip is what I usually go for.

I like sugar cookies or plain old choclate chip. Old fashioned and boring everything I love a cookie to be! :)

I am absolutely useless at baking cookies, they come out soft and cakie and they are just nothing like the picture in the book or how they taste from the shops. If I do attempt to make them I love choccie chip, they are definately my favourite cookies of all time. Chocolate chip banana sound really interesting.

I will look up recipes online. And I will look homemade peanut butter coookies with peanut butter chips added. That will be awesome. I love to do that. What do you think? Having homemade stuff is great. Rather than just buying stuff at a grocery store.
